    It was semi-nationwide last time.

You could have this while u wait for the rest of your meal to cook.

Here's hoping this is nationwide, 35 degrees or something tomorrow, we're gonna be hiding at the shops in their air conditioned comfort, so I'll be able to suss it out tomorrow, if so, cheers OP!

      You don't work?

Still engaged in studies, but my course wrapped up a couple weeks back, starting my bachelor in February. Basically just sitting on my butt until then. :)

        • Enjoy your time off until then. You should be able to get plenty of gaming done over summer ;)
Free air conditioning is nice. Westfields is good for free con but the crowds can do my head in after a while and unless I'm shopping I tend to avoid.

I prefer going to my local RSL or leagues club where I can sit in a nice quiet environment with perfect temperature control and use my laptop. Free wifi is a bonus!

@wolfenator87: God, I wish I could. I'm lucky to get in an hour or two here and there, just completed Uncharted 4 the other day (so good), we've got a 9 month old hogging up what little free time we have nowadays.

The missus loves her shops mostly, I'm just there for KFC and the air con though.

My local RSL is pretty good, they have free pool for members too which is a nice little time waster, gotta bring a pram and get the baby down first though :P

      Trump for Macca's CEO?

    • +4

I laugh and all, but like, I haven't even been to Macca's since the 3 for 3 stopped, and before that it was the same thing, and before that it was the $2 double cheeseburgers like 4 years ago. Macca's is bloody expensive for most of their stuff.

      • Same here, plus when it's 50% off in the rewards app. McDonald's is garbage compared to HJ's which is a cheaper price point.

Last time I asked for a 'small cheeseburger meal' and the sneaky McDonalds tried pretending there was no $3 deal going…

  • +2

Deals decent but it's similar value to the $3.95 HJ Chicken Royale deal. In fact I would happily pay $1 more for better chips and burger.

    • Don't forget the free refills and large upgrade voucher!

      • What voucher?

        • Sorry I was talking about Hungry Jack's

      • What free refills?

        • Sorry I was talking about Hungry Jack's referring to the comment I replied to

        • +4

Yeah I realise what free refills at hungry jacks? They usually just hand me a drink and the drink machine is inside.

        • @gottacatchemall: You just ask for it when you want the cup to be refilled

        • +2

          Just learned something new thanks.

        • +1

I used to work there, they moved the machines behind the counter because people were using them to refill their frozen coke cups which wasn't allowed. You just have to ask them.

What's the HJ Chicken Royale deal about?

      • +1

It's in the hj voucher that get posted every 2 months or so. Chicken Royale burger + small thick cut chips and drink = $3.95.

  • For some reason I am having a craving for McDonald's, been having too much HJ

  • This deal is available in SA. Got it today from the Maccas West Beach branch

  • it is in SA too.

  • +1

I think this may be restricted to SA. Definitely not available in NSW.

    • The previous offer also excluded NSW.

Anyone know if this is in Vic? :)

  • I'd have liked this deal if in NSW but since it isn't might as well make burgers at home on the WeberQ bought via a different ozbargain post..

  • +1

Not in NSW according to my local

  • +1

Tried in VIC, they had no idea

  • WA, NO

  • Was not accepted in Brisbane CBD

  • Still going in Adelaide.
Have been able to swap the drink to bottled water at some stores, but not all. Bottled water is usually more than $3 on its own.

  • May have expired, it's no longer available at the Felixstow store.
