I bought a fridge (Samsung 458L) on The Good Guys online since they have a four-day sale until yesterday. I could get 200 dollar store credit with this sale.
When I clicked in, an ad came out saying I could get $100 off if I enter the "Fridge100" code. But during the checkout, I totally forgot the promo code and somehow I thought the $100 would be deducted automatically. When the order was done, I realized that I didn't get the $100 off since I didn't enter the promo code.
I then called the good guys today asking whether I could change the order now, and the lady said that there's nothing she could do since it's an online order.
If I cancel the order now, and re-order again with the "Fridge100", then I could get the $100 off but without the $200 store credit since that sale event was over. It doesn't look like a good solution overall.
I then noticed The Good Guys has an 30-day price guarantee, I am not sure whether I could use this to claim the difference back.
I am a lit upset for my own mistake, wondering whether you guys have any good ideas. Thank you!
I would call again
but if it fails, cancel the order
I would go to somewhere else like JB Hi fi Home or harvey norman
tell them I got this price with $200 off
can you better the offer
see what comes up
