Buying US Dollars in Sydney - Best Rate
Comments
Hi, yes, physical cash but probably only a few hundred for 1st few days in Hawaii. Thanks for replying,
for only a few hundred, the difference is negligible
Just get it from the most convenient, e.g auspost, amex, travelmoneyoz (online and pickup at their store)then get the rest from an ATM in the US via one of the few cards that offer favourable overseas exchange/atm rates
It depends how much
KvB Kunlun is good but they're not as good as they used to be
suprisingly
UAE money exchange and Travel Money Oz are generous with their rates but it depends
in the city they are cheap but I went to Parramatta and UAE upped their rate by 3 cents while North Ryde was cheaperI asked for a rate and I said I want $2000
I got a rate then I said how much for $5000
I got a cheaper rate then I said how much for $10000
I got a VERY GOOD RATE :)it depends where you live
Ps i'm not a millionaire, I was travelling with a group so I exchanged on behalf of everyone
Thanks everyone :)
Amex (and then pick up from Aus Post outlets) gives very good rates. That's what I normally use when I go to the US
Thank you.
So you're talking physical cash? You can usually negotiate with the small shop fronts for a better rate, especially if you're buying a bit.
