It's not a touch-screen I gather.
Just wondering with the specs, what it could handle.
Youtube, light Office work. Surfing and browsing.

Guess it can't do apps and games?

  • 2GB of RAM… ouch. Maybe 1 tab. :/

  • It won't be good for multitasking. Having Office and the browser together will slow it down. A portion of the 32GB will be used up by the OS and after updates… there isn't going to be much left. Cherry trail Z8300 has also been replaced by a newer version with slightly better speeds and heat management.

    Not terrific specs, but then I saw the price ($199, saved you all a click) and at that point it isn't terrible.

    I'd aim to use a slimmed down browser (Chromium?) and minimize background apps, to make best use of that scant 2GB RAM.

    Another option, if you can put together another $120, is the Dell Inspirion 11 3000 which is currently on sale for $319 - probably a better all around machine, performance for dollar.

  • There are lots and lots of performance reports on the z8300 as it is.

    Its not 100% terrible and if youre willing to move to unix you probably might be better off but eh… $199
