Commonwealth Bank: Low Rate Gold Credit Card - $250 Cashback after $500 Spend

For those who don't know about this: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/269838?

I applied for this when it was only available when applied for online between 10/10/16 and 31/10/16.
They then "extended" the deal to be till the end of January and all forms of application.
The trouble is, I can no longer find proof of the deal I originally applied for.
In fact the new deal is only applicable from the 1st of November.
When I called CommBank recently, they informed me I was ineligible for the Cashback.

This is really just a PSA for those in the same situation.
Though if anyone does have any proof I could use to argue the point, I'd be very appreciative.

    That's a bit sneaky changing the T&Cs like that :(

    The only thing I could find was one of their moderator's responses to someone's question on the Commbank support page (looks like they were having problems claiming the cashback too)

        Edited to add: I just found the google cache page. All the original terms are there, including the 10 October 2016 and 31 October 2016 dates

    Ah that's annoying.

    I applied for a different CBA card because it had a bonus for signing up and I couldn't see anything in the T&Cs about being ineligible if you had a card in previous 12 months, but then they extended the deal and added the clause into the T&Cs. But unfortunately I couldn't find the earlier version of the T&Cs.
