PlayStation Plus Auto Sub, Cant Get Refund?

So im about to rage. I hardly use my playstation 4, or online. anyway today they charged my credit card $70 dollars for Auto Sub, which I never knew I had on. I never knew I had it . never got an email till they took money out of my credit card. So I called playstation to get a refund the guy said he cant give a refund or cancel it. so im super mad. They also wont even change my birth date from 1993 to 1994 which I didnt mean to put 1993 he said I lied about birth date

Im so mad they treat me like this. is there anything I can do? a charge back would get my account banned probably?

Side note: can we change our IDs yet?

    From what I've heard, yes, I see this a lot on reddit where someones PSN account has been hacked, said user reverses charges from PSN to recover their money back. PSN bans account over reversing the charge.

    Again from what I've heard no you can't and people have been getting banned over having undesirable usernames with no way to change them.

    Again these could be wrong, but just checking the reddit page of PS4 has scared me off from using PSN.

    I don't mean this in any negative way at all OP, but there is a lot of people with more legitimate reasons of trying to get a refund who have been told too bad. So unfortunately it isn't looking very positive.

    I could get down voted for this, but I do find a lot of these company decisions (if true) as just being low. I own a PS4 and love the console but damn does Sony like to test my appreciation for it.

    • damn thats scary. I think i might get rid of my credit card on it and saved stuff I dont wanna risk it at how tight up they are.

      • Thats why i got rid of mine and i either do a paypal transfer of credit for what i need i.e game purchase or i use the psn cards.

  • i have been getting emails saying mine is about to renew (in Dec). Didnt you get warning emails?

  • I do know they have a warning / disclaimer that when you begin a sub, it will automatically turn on auto-renewel. As much as I hate it when it does that, they do warn you at the start as well.

      i actually didnt get an email and only realised it renewed when $80 was deducted from my account :(

    definitely delete your billing details off of your account people. I just fell fowl of the exact same auto billing issue. tried to get a refund only to be told that the 14 day policy applies from the original purchase date over 1 year ago, not from the renewal date. very low business practices imo

  • Yeah I got no email till after it was paid, cant get refund. with MMOs you can like WOW or ESO if you pay for sub and want to cancel even amazon. SO WTF…….pretty annoyed. they just want money and get it.

  • Yep had this happen to me last year. PSN cards only are the way to go. And I was pretty sure I had deleted my information then as well, ended up getting a new card number after that.
