Looking to build an Ultra Small Form Factor PC in the near future, and I was wondering whether anyone has had experience claiming GST on PC parts at the TRS booth before. I'm looking to go to MSY soon and pick up parts for a full build, is it okay if I assemble the PC and just tell the person at the TRS booth that all the parts are inside the computer? Or will I need to take apart the computer to physically show the TRS officer every part like the CPU, RAM, SDD, etc? If that's the case then I probably wont bother.

this is what i did.
Bought a VGA and assemble.
I pulled the VGA out and put it in its box on the night before i left.
Went to TRS counter and present it. Guy didnt even ask me to open the box.
when i come back, re assemble. Save $30
Last time I claimed TRS on a laptop at Perth airport they didn't even want me to take it out of the leather case I was carrying it in, they just wanted to see the invoice and move me along as quick as possible.
As long as you've got the invoice and all of the parts with you, I don't think it will be a problem if they are assembled or not.
