    Hi OP. When are these beans roasted? Some beans on your site indicate on-the-day-of-shipping roasting, others do not. The two stores I buy from send out the coffee on the day they are roasted so we get them fresh.

      All coffee is fresh roasted to order and express shipped :) Please bear in mind though that coffee needs a few days to degas after roasting so if drinking within the first couple of days of roasting can still be a bit green.

      General rule of thumb 5-7 days after roasting is ideal time to start drinking(some of my Ethiopians I find perform best after around 14 days. You can still drink straight away just that they'll get better after resting for a few days

      Just something to bear in mind :)

        Understood, and thanks for the reply. At least with getting them sent on the day, then I can mentally log how old the beans are, instead of flying blind.
        One of the beans I order is awesome after about 10 days.

    Ordered. Let's see how it goes. Normally I just get hmm Vittoria (from the supermarket). My machine/grinder, probably won't do these beans justice.

    Just ordered. I paid via paypal and in the past was able to add a comment but not this time around. I was hoping to ask to have the Fortitude swapped out for Jamocha. Can we have this feature back ?

      Mmm did you use mobile or PC? I'll look into it. Perhaps it's just the mobile version that doesn't allow notes

    How long does the Cacao beans last?
    Can you freeze to last longer or not needed. Looking at purchasing 2 x 1kg bags.

      Hi, Cacao beans raw are best used within about 3 to 6 months depending on storage conditions. Once roasted the life is extended and they can last for as long as 2 years.

      A cool dark place will of course be of benefit when storing.

      You can freeze but I'm unsure of how this will impact the flavour etc

      Hope you had a fantastic Christmas :)

      We closed for Christmas from the 16th Dec - 9th of January and an email was sent out to our existing customers. The dates are also up on our website.

      Although people are welcome to place orders within this period we did state that they would not be roasted and shipped until we reopen on the 9th Jan.

      Was your order placed within this period? Please shoot me an email asap as I am actually in at the roastery today just trying to help by shipping a few extra orders for people anyway :)
