Watch_Dogs 2 (PS4, Xbox One, PC) $69 @ JB-Hi-Fi

Years after the highly anticipated release of Watch_Dogs, the team at Ubisoft felt that the series needed a sequel and have delivered Watch_Dogs 2. The sequel takes place in San Francisco and we follow protagonist Marcus Holloway. This game style is inspired by the first game but has been re-done. (TRY IT BEFORE YOU HATE ON IT)

    Did you try the multiplayer?

  • What enhancements does the PS4 Pro version have?

    • -1

There isn't a Pro Version. Just different modes you can play in. Higher visuals, better frame rate etc.

      • +1

Perfect. How all Pro support should be done.

        • +1

Agree, the fact that some games are allowing for 1080p 60fps vs 4k 30fps on the pro makes me hopeful that devs will start caring about framerate on consoles a bit more.

      • Don't know why you lied, ThePriceMatchGuy. There's no graphics options other than brightness. Just loaded up v1.02 of the game (current) and nothing.

        • Strange BradH13, the build that I played last month had this feature inbuilt in its pause menu. Forgive me for not knowing they'd include this in the final product.

        • @ThePriceMatchGuy: You could still be right, I only put it in to install it as I'm currently playing Mafia - but the main menu options screen has no settings for graphics, so I don't understand why they'd put them in the pause menu instead, but I'm apologising because calling you a liar was wrong and I'll have to check the pause menu later when I actually play it.

        • @BradH13: I asked the question to the Devs last month at the press event and compared it to FFXV (that game will let you change settings on the fly) they said that you could 'optimize your experience on the go.' I could be wrong and it might just be adjusted depending on your setup.

        • @ThePriceMatchGuy: Started it just before. Definitely no options. Bugger. Looks nice though.

  • Does it play better then the 1st game?

    • +2

All things considered, it's miles better than the first one!

the team at Ubisoft felt that the series needed a sequel

Yeah when they first developed the game

    • +4

And likely they also decided the sequel will also conveniently need DLC that can be purchased separately as well.

      funny guy! HA HA HA

I would wait for reviews first.

    • -4

Go buy it at EB Games and review it yourself. Don't like it? Return it.

      • I wish I could downvote you twice.
Once for telling people to buy a game before waiting for reviews (even after the first game was shit)
Second for telling people to shop at EB Games

Are you serious? Praise the lord man. I'm glad you have an opinion, contact me privately if you have an issue with my views.

  • I would be interested to see who will pick this up on launch after the watch_dog 1 dramas

    • It was $50 at EB or $39 at JB with a PS4 Pro pre-order so I expect it should do okay based on deals plus a lot of youtubers streaming it this weekend.

    • Sorry I missed the whole thing, what drama?

      • +1

As I recall: Over promised, under delivered. All press releases (including when it was on show at EB) were a different, much better, game.

        • Well, it wasn't a No Man's Sky incident though…

  • +5

Will this more or less of a disappointment than No Man's Sky?

    • +4

      Less. WAY less.

    • +6

Can you get more disappointing than No Man's Sky?

      • +4

        Duke Nukem Forever?

        • You guys play Gears of War Judgement?

  • -1

Carrot hungry users able to price match with EBGames :)

  • "(TRY IT BEFORE YOU HATE ON IT)" yeah no thanks after the 1st one i still feel to ripped off
Its not just this game many have gone the the same route.. waiting 6 months is always the best option now

but hey as for the price and you taking the time to put it up thumbs up….

    • That's fair enough Ken. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. I personally cannot wait for this game after having played it last month. Appreciated :)

  • I really enjoyed the first one, but I only watched the single announcement trailer before I bought it, so that probably helped.

I find it heaps better to just buy a game without watching trailers and reading reviews. A lot more enjoyment comes out of forming completely your own opinion. A simple glance over what the plot is about is enough for me to purchase something.
