  • You can take a look at Pimpama, with that budget you can buy one house n land package there pretty easy.

    • Thats Gold Coast, 1 hour peak hour drive to Bris CBD.

  • Thank you.
    How about the North east?
    Kallangur, Kippa-ring, Strathpine etc…

    • Moreton Bay region is a good area to invest in general. Pretty safe bet imo. Not a fan of property investment myself though.

In saying that, if I was to buy again (just sold my place inner Bris), I would look at as close to Brisbane as possible on a decent (read: normal) sized block. Even if the house was weatherboard or whatever (so a cheaper buy-in price)… getting it for the right price is the best thing overall. I would only look at places like that, or public trustee auctions. Don't buy at non trustee auctions. Realise property can be overpriced by as much as 25% with normal listings.

Not financial/investment advice, just my own personal opinion.

      Good luck.

  • Thanks mate.. :)
Yes I agree with you there, land content is more important than the building structure. However I would like to avoid fibro I guess..
As much as I'd like to invest close to the city but budget limitations make it hard..
I am also tossing between a townhouse say in
Chermside, or a house in Moreton Bay..
Its hard to tell which area will take off.. Its almost gamling lol
Yeah there are tell tale signs like gentrifications, employment.. But requires research and patience to find the right property at right price..

I am managerial.. Only take calculated risk.. Last year I looked at houses in Weribee, Melbourne. Couldn't make up my mind and missed the bus lol
    It saw 20% growth in 2016.. :/
