Lindt Hot Chocolate's not too bad

      You're not too bad either

  • Too much information

i'm surprised it is not marketed as a 4-star health food by cadbury. it's only 76% sugar - only a little bit more than milo!

you know you can buy 100% cocoa powder for about the same price and, if you really have to, add sugar to suit to tastes from there.

Damn, thanks for reminding me I have a key of that in the cupboard… I'll be flying tonight!

      if you really have to

      You have to.

      • Yeah. I tried one of those sugarless hot chocolate brands with that stevia shit in it and it was awful.

    • it's only 76% sugar

24% according to information printed on the container.

      • dunno, i'm reading the information on the coles website which says it is 76.7% sugar

also, sugar is the first ingredient listed:

        Ingredients:
Sugar, Cocoa Powder, Starch (Maize or Tapioca), Mineral Salt (501), Flavour.

maybe you are reading the values per serving mixed with skim milk.

        • maybe you are reading the values per serving mixed with skim milk.

Yes, you are right. That was the value per serve.

      • 24% according to information printed on the container.

The figure of 24% is the daily input guide.

So 15g (1 Tablespoon) serve of Cadbury Drinking Chocolate gives you 24% of your daily sugar needs.

The tin I have, suggests to add marshmallows and the picture also shows 3 pieces of chocolate, as well.

No wonder it is so blissful every now and again.

Can you make cold chocolate milk with this or is it more suited to hot chocolate?

    • +1

      You can…

Just mix chocolate powder in hot water, then add cold milk.

    • I've had this as cold chocolate milk before. The chocolate doesn't always dissolve completely but I really enjoy it.

you can make choc milk. just use a little milk at first to make a paste type thikness in bottom of glass then add rest of the milk. very good stuff

Can never have too much chocolate in your place. Add a bit extra at the end, try to mix it in, and then eat it off the top with a spoon.
