    • I think OP is trying to say he bought 2 pairs of Versace sunglasses from a Sunglass Hut outlet, and they turned out bad after some time and he only just noticed that they don't have a CLG code.

OP, how long ago did you buy them? If it hasn't been 12 months you could just take it to one of their stores and tell them your story, I'm sure you'll get a refund or at least a replacement.

Understandable conclusion given the same company manufactures every pair of sunglasses in the shop which is also owned by them (is it franchised?).

So they'd probably be rather interested if they were fake although obviously don't go back to where you bought them lel.

Isn't that the company that have those annoying ads on Facebook?

    Thanks OP got one

  • I can assure you it's IMPOSSIBLE for sunglass hut to sell fake Versace. Take them back and switch them out if you're not satisfied with them, but don't sweat you've bought fakes.

    • yeah imma go use the 90 days and say they are too flimsy considering i paid so much (it aint a lie i am actually annoyed at this for this price point id want a solid pair)

      • You bought from their outlet store which will mean there's a high chance they've been on display a while so have been tried on by customers many times. The reason your friends pair is less flimsy is because they've hardly been used. All sunnies start to get loose at the hinge over time. Sunglass Hut and opsm will tighten these up for you as many times as you like.

You might be best served using the family and friends voucher that was posted on here the other day and buy from their website. You'll get a completely fresh pair.

        • i used the 40% off for 2 pairs :) yeah thats a solid point idk ill take em in and have a look if theres something else 90 day rule is pre handy :)

        • @AliensStoleMyMoney: Cool. Glad I could help.

  • How on Earth are we supposed to judge the authenticity of sunglasses with details such as "flimsy"?

    • the lack of clg code is for that

      • If this clg code is so important, first thing that comes to mind would be to ask the retailer about it.

        • didnt realise it didnt have it at the start

        • @AliensStoleMyMoney:
I wonder if a staff member could be switching the real ones for fakes?
I doubt S-Hut (Luxottica) would risk their reputation on mixing fakes with their overpriced merchandise.

Just be on the lookout for hesitation… they will understandably question if you're trying to pull a fast one on them.

        • @Kangal:
thanks for the advice . i will question em as this is a code meant for authenticating the glasses as genuine the fact i didnt get it speaks alot

        kek

  • Where abouts on the sunglasses did you check for the code? Is your mate's one a different style? I believe older models might not have these codes.
