Chrono Trigger PS3, PSP, VITA $2.99 US, PSN Store USA (Requires a US PSN Account)

100

Sony USA is having a separate sale to the Australian store. The 10th anniversary sale celebrating 10 years of downloads. It's week one and I think Chronotrigger is an absolute steal at 2.99 (approx $4 Au) reduced from US 9.99 (plus extra 10% if you can get PS plus working.

Not even available in the Australian psn store.
Do yourself a favour and grab this classic of a game. Voted as one of the best all time JRPG's and one of the best games ever made.

Creation of a USA PSN account is required and prepaid USA PSN gift cards from a retailer like Amazon will assist you to get this game. https://www.amazon.com/20-PlayStation-Store-Gift-Card/dp/B00…

In my eyes, one of the best games ever made. Hard to know how much I'm influenced by nostalgia though..

I don't understand why people play games like this today. It's time spent not playing modern games not that it's a bad game.

Very tempting. Slightly hesitant as the PS1/PSN version did have more load times than the original. Absolute classic for sure! Suikoden III is another classic (PS2/PSN) RPG featuring in this same US sale.

    • I was thinking of playing Suikoden III again this summer. Looks like a sign!

  • Such a great RPG. The Nintendo DS version is probably the best version of the game but if you have an aversion to handhelds the PS1 version is really good too. At $4 it's a bargain either way you look at it.

    • SNES FO LYFE!

  • A vita can only be set to a single region at a time FYI. Changing regions requires wiping the memory card.

  • Bargain indeed, picking it up

  • Do you guys reckon Rogue Galaxy is worth a buy?

Its similar to Dark Cloud / Chronicles, but I absolutely loved playing it. An energetic start and a good story to keep you moving along, plenty to get lost in though.

The weapon customisation options are ridiculous and basically a mini-game in itself. Graphics were already good/great, so I can't really see a downside to it, if I can find a decent way of getting US PSN credit I'll definitely be adding it to my library.

      • Thanks, Telios. I know reviews are online but it's good to know folks personal opinions of it.

  • Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, FF7 , gotta love the good ole days, now the games are dominated by FPS shooters
