Spotify users are reporting that Spotify is pointlessly writing a large amount of data to the drive it's installed in. Large meaning 5-10GB per hour and up to 700GB per day if the application is left running for more than 24 hours. Note that this occurs when the application is merely running and not being used.
Bum Ars was able to recreate the bug on 3 out of 3 attempts.
This significantly lowers the life of SSD's and writing to spinning disks that much probably isn't helpful in terms of life.
