        YES I WOULD!
        THANKS :D

      • I would love a better Belkin surge protector, such as a 6 or 8 ports with some Belkin lifetime warranty & at least $10,000 warranty

2 ports is so NOT useful…

        • This device is aimed at electronics you travel with.
You are not going to be travelling with 6-8 expensive items which all need power at the same time.

If you want it then buy it and use a power board, it does the same thing and saves you a heap of money.

    • C'mon, it's not so bad. As a company who is listing deals pretty regularly, they can't all be LED TVs going at or below cost price. Surge protectors are fairly well sought after for people who actually care about their warranty. If you are one of the people who bought abovementioned LED TV, you could probably use one of these too so that you are covered. I know that Panasonic don't cover you for electrical surges, and I'm sure a lot of other companies are the same with their warranties.

From product website (note that this is not limited to notebooks).
Belkin will repair or replace any equipment damaged by a surge, spike, or lightning strike while properly connected to a Notebook Surge Protector up to the value of $100,000.

      • well surge protectors are pretty much just like insurance for the car, all they do is provide a piece of mind so you dont have to worry about them breaking. but the chances of it happening is a million to 1.
Although the usb surge protector may come in handy if your travelling overseas, some other countries may not have as stable electricity unlike australia

      • I wouldn't use this model for a TV.

As it has a USB port it will be sitting there making USB power all the time for you however if it is behind your tv you will never use the USB port

  • One thing worth mentioning is that surge protectors only cover the devices directly connected to them.

So if you purchased this and used a power-board from it the power-board will be covered by the insurance however not the things connected to the power-board.

    • i'm curious to know how they'd know if u were lying about your set-up..

      • Well if you lodged a claim for a new TV, amplifier, laptop and STB all which you claimed were connected to a 2 outlet surge protector it will be pretty obvious that you have used something else to connect 4 devices to a 2 outlet device.

The insurance on these things really is a selling point and nothing more.
The element in them is self sacrificing and dies before any dangerous voltage can pass through it. Think if is like your earth leakage detector

  • Still waiting for this to arrive…
