Hey guys, just wondering when the best time to book flights to LA would be? I missed expo prices unfortunately, planning on heading there in March. Also looking to fly with Qantas.
Kind Regards

Terrible terrible terrible terrible airline from personal experience. Good luck!
Lol thanks! I flew them 3 years ago and service was ok, had better luck than say, jetstar. They definitely have some bad reviews
I'll keep and eye out but I want to fly with a major Airline 100%. Thanks for the info though.
Yea, I probably should have specified I am in Perth, and afaik there are no direct flights which makes them much more compelling when i would otherwise be adding a 4hr local domestic flight with qantas/virgin.

approx $1060 with Air NZ via Auckland, maybe you'll be able to find a code to stack and get a further discount on that
China airlines you save $100 over AirNZ but it adds 10 hours extra to the flight time, (17 hrs vs 27hrs) and compared to a direct flight of 14hrs (almost double)
Surely all the hassles of flying to Guangzhou then on to LA, apart from the pain of your backside isnt worth $100. Considering also that this pain would be repeated on the return trip, so you are adding 20 hours to save $100 thats $5 an hour!!!
If you are wanting to save money look at flying Jetstar to Hawaii, then a cheapy from Hawaii to LAX
Virgin have flights Sydney to Los Angeles for $915 in February and March. I'M not sure what it would be elsewhere in australia but it might be worth a look
Mr Joyce has been listening
Here's your chance, Qantas from $912
Thanks Guys :)
Just booked my flights today for mid March. $752 return per adult, via china southern. I think march and april are fairly quiet periods for travel, the prices where a good deal cheaper than other periods of the year.
http://iwantthatflight.com.au/ gives you a good cross section of dates and airlines. fwiw virgin was looking to be around $1200 and qantas $1400 for similar flights, unless you come within certain promotional dates
