Here is another of winedirect.com.au's Secret Deals. Those that follow these, know that they are usually hidden to protect well known wineries, but still offer wine at an amazing price and with FREE DELIVERY!

If anyone is unsure and would like to know the identity of the wine, please feel free to give us a call or flick me an email. There is a good reason as a store representative that I am unable to post the identity on a public forum, as much as it would be easier for myself and you to do so.

1800 649 463 is our number and [email protected] is the email address. A very easy way to get in touch is via the LiveChat feature on the website, all of which you can get more information if you require it.

Here is what the winedirect.com.au tasting panel had to say…

Just amazing - a six time Gold Medal winner, including a 6th place at the Great Aussie Shiraz Challenge from well over 300 entries and where this wine upstaged no less than 33 wines which retail between $70 to $350 per bottle. As you'd expect, the fruit is exceptionally generous, black and plush. There's spice, chocolate, coffee, blackcurrants and a depth of flavour which is exceptional. Retails for $25 a bottle, but in this little secret dozen it will cost you just $15 a bottle.

Those that are new to winedirect.com.au can use the following link to sign up with a $25 credit automatically applied to their account

  • I'm confused…
Why would you hide the winery that made the wine? They get 0 publicity from that.
Sorry I'm not trying to be rude, just trying to understand.

    • The reason the identity of the wine is hidden in the public forum, is to protect the wineries brand. It could potentially devalue the label. We want to offer the best possible price to our customers, whilst maintaining an ongoing and respectful working relationship with the winery. I understand it can seem silly to the average customer, but it a necessary element in discounting wine offers

      • Ah that makes sense :) I will certainly look at buying some then.

        • Glad to hear it! The wine is a personal favourite of mine, and $10 a bottle cheaper than retail is wonderful!

    • so Aldi is selling 6 bottles of clearskin of red/white for $12.99. It's also a mystery what wine you're drinking but without the brown paper bag

      • I guess it comes down to personal preference.
Personally Im happy to pay the $15 a bottle for the higher quality stuff as opposed to $12.99 for 6 at aldis

      • The wine has a label, just not much point calling it a secret offer and having the label show the identity

  • The wine is shown plainly on the wine direct site at $18pb usual price, pretty easy to identify.
The 2013 vintage of this is a ripper, I haven't tried the 2014 yet.

    • We found that it needs a good stint in a decanter before seeing what it is capable of. It is even fantastic the next day

  • +1

As a store rep he's not allowed to publicly post the name, but there is nothing stopping us!

It's the 2014 Zonte's Footstep Chocolate Factory Shiraz. They normally sell it at $18 p/bottle, so you're getting a case for the price of 10 ($36 saving if you were to buy a case at individual pricing from them).

  • There were a few deals for the 2013 - I paid just over $10/bottle as a mystery wine from Grays - so you'll probably get the 2014 cheaper if you wait. Not saying $15/bottle is unreasonable - 2013 is very nice wine

    • geez! is that still available?! I LOVE the 2013!

      • Sorry that was 6 months ago and they seemed to have it only for a couple of weeks

        • Awwww you're breaking my heart </3
