So about 1-2months ago my lg g4 got hit with the notorious bootloop bug, i've sent the device back to Kogan and they've kindly given me a store credit for the phone as they could not repair it or send me a replacement device. I need help choosing a new phone, so far ive got my eye on the LG V20(my most favoured at the moment), Google Pixel XL, HTC 10 and the Note 7. Also, does anyone know if current LG phones also get hit with the bootloop error? or was that only an issue with the G4. Thanks guys

yeah because i really like their phones! If their current flagships are still bootlooping then that will of course change my decision.
I reckon you should wait for a bit with V20 if you are concerned with the bootloop issue since it took around 5 months since release for G4 before it became an issue.
I'd assume they would've fixed the issue, but who knows.
yea thats true i think i'll wait a bit longer, that way i can get a better price on the phone as well

Samsung GS7E
Why would you want a Note 7 ???

IPHONE 7 PLUS 256GB JET BLACK
Huawei P9? Virgin has it on a 40 plan
so far ive got my eye on the LG V20(my most favoured at the moment
Get that then, it's one of the best.
Pixel XL, LG make terrible phones.
HTC is meh now daysnote 7 doesnt exist anymore.
I think it's pretty cheap/dodgy of Kogan to only give you store credit instead of a refund.
If you got a refund then you could get a Xiaomi like what altomic linked above, and have cash to spare.
well they werent even going to give me credit! they first offered to give me a sony xperia X as a replacement
How old was the phone? If it was still under warranty or even a bit over then Kogan have to give you a refund if you ask because there was a major fault with the product.
about 13 months old! yea i asked for a full refund but they avoided the question entirely! i sent them a separate email yesterday asking if a full refund is available and am currently waiting for their response
You are entitled to a full refund, I am on my phone now but just Google ACCC Warranty if you haven't already and learn your rights.
It's all about what's considered reasonable and an expensive phone that only lasts 13 months isn't reasonable.Mine literally had the bootloop this morning and it's from qd_au (ebay). No chance of getting anything from them from the other posts I've read around the forums unless I missed out on someone succeeding in getting in contact with them?
Wait, so after that wide-spread fault, you'd stick with the brand? Wow
