For those who missed out on the Black Hawk dog food, I came across this while looking for grain free cat food at Woolies.
Don't have a dog, but for those who do, it may be a bargain?

lmao same here!
not much difference anyway..(joke)
So your dog can make some gainz too :)
FYI, this cannot compare to Black Hawk, other than it is called pet food. It’s full of cheap fillers and crap in general.
If you can’t afford Black Hawk and other decent food, then sure Optimum is better than some of the real cheap and nasty crap out there passing of as food.
With all the ozbargain deals on black hawk dont see why profesionals cant afford it. ~$3 / kg
yes blackhawk is best. but i find purina are reputable also if you wont do blackhawk, their head office are happy to chat with you and usually very honest if you ask them. never seen a dog have bad reactions with anything purina but i have seen dogs nearly killed by royal canin because they put sulfur dioxide in their food. if you ring a company and they refuse to tell you what they put in it then dont trust them. blackhawks reputation just spread like fire because of how good their food is, its great food for dogs. i always choose dog kennels who feed blackhawk
Purina do a few different brands, and they are all full of rubbish - http://www.petfoodreviews.com.au/dry-dog-food/
It's also in their latest cataloguee, sale ends Tuesday 8th November
The costco dog food, Kirkland is well rated too for those interested.
thanks for the info, i'll check it out. do you know who manufacturers it?
I got info from here. I have been through 2 big bags no issues.

Last time I purchased it was $57 for 18kg bag.
they put glucosamine and chondroitin in it, thats really good to see, it really does work well for preventing arthritis.
Also have a look at Costco's grain-free dog food, Nature's Domain. It comes in a bit smaller bags, 15.87 kg, for 57 or 60 bucks depending on the variety you get (turkey, or salmon). I found my dog's skin cleared up a lot when I put him on it, and his coat has come up silky smooth and shiny.

do woolworths still do buy 8 get 1 free on their bags of dog food with the everyday rewards card?
Lol for a second there I thought this was about Optimum Nutrition, the protein powder - I thought they released it for dogs too!!
