I'm wanting to buy an iMac 27 inch base model and looking good at waiting until JB has another 10% off Apple products. Thinking about it, I've realised I could get another 5% off at OW for it during this time.
I'm wondering if anyone had done this and had luck doing it?
As an Ozbargainer, I'm trying to get the cheapest price possible.
I've heard one or two people who manage to do this, but every time JB have an Apple sale, so does Officeworks. You have a very little chance of being able to do this.
Just walk into an Apple store and ask them for 10% off or wait for the next JB HIFI sale.
5% is nothing. Just buy it.
I disagree. Another 5% off would be worth $125.

Apple also doesn't negotiate on prices (unless you're a business)
If you can find a retailer with 10% off, Apple will match the price.
I got one for $2296 through a business. Not for myself, though. Much too underpowered.
I've just started my own business so would be keen to know where those prices are from? Are you able to share?
@missmelb: I also have the option of buying through education as my partner is a teacher/student. I'm trying to get it by the cheapest method.
If you have an apple store near you, go in and talk to their business team. They will be able to make quotes up for you and probably get you a better price than with a student/teacher discount. They also can offer you some more services depending on your own specific situation.
@k-rokfm: Thanks for this - I ended up using this to get one and got a model up than what I was originally going to get so I could get it straight away and get a better HDD
You can also buy discounted JB gift cards, then spend at JB during a 10% off sale
Yeah was looking at this until I saw that I had to buy $50 vouchers
I got an extra 5% off from officeworks on a macbook pro during a JB HiFi 10% off sale - so definitely possible
I did it for my IMac last year
Im doubtful as officeworks would normally see that JB are having a sale and pricematch to that anyway.
On the off chance that they havent price matched, go for it. As long as your local JB or online JB has them in stock theyll do it without a hassle.
