  • From 6-48 months

Most kids shouldn't be forward facing @ 6mo. Minimum 1yo

    • I agree. All evidence suggests that the longer kids are rear-facing the better. Many seats are now up to 30 months rear facing. Most of those seats cost $400-$600, however I think it's money well spent.

  • I have been looking for an isofix compatible one for a while so I took the effort to read the manual to find that this one isn't isofix compatible. Not important for everyone, just a note.

    • What does isofix do for you? I understand what isofix is … just never understood the appeal or the price premium that manufacturers charge for it.

      • simpler (and less error prone) mounting in a vehicle
'Technically' a bit safer due to fixed restraints not relying in seatbelt tension etc

        • 'Technically' a bit safer due to fixed restraints not relying in seatbelt tension etc

Funnily enough, I had an maxi cosi iso fix baby capsule mounted in the center seat of a car. The adults sitting on either side would always manage to unclip the isofix latches, while getting their seatbelts on.

Anything Isofix will advertise it clearly, you don't need to search manuals. They cost twice as much as equivalent non-Isofix seats.

They cost twice as much as equivalent non-Isofix seat

which is nuts considering the additional (minimal) hardware it requires on the seat

        • Yeah and most of them are lazy implementations that still rely on belts that attach to the Isofix anchor points. Rigidity and avoiding belts is kinda the whole purpose.

  • ohh this one upto 4yrs. Looking for some bargains on carsets for 4yrs+

    • Description says you can use the lapsash seatbelt up to 7 year old.

I'm not sure how that would work like if you need extra accessories etc.

I'm going to have to read the manual to figure that out.

      • yeah, but still unable to confirm it. let me know if u get any confirm info.

        • Maybe when I get it hoping may make more sensee.

I did read the manual but want to make sure myself before I post something incorrect.

        • @harkoliar:
I believe you don't need to purchase any additional accessories to use this as a booster. You only need to purchase a harness if you don't want to use the lap sash belt with it.

In saying that I recall this seat rates poorly as a booster for safety. Crep website

Rates highly as a child seat.

I have 2 of these seats and they're great value. When it's time to switch them to booster mode I'll re-evaluate whether I'll use these or purchase dedicated booster seats.

I have this seat for my kids. Would recommend it as it has a good safety rating and at this price it's a bargain

    • thanks! just bought one for my kid!

  • +1

A good seat and an okay price. I bought one for $53 and another for $79.

    • How did you get them so cheap?

  • This is a good seat
    I have it

  • If you want to follow best practice recommendations, not a great seat:
    - rear face for as long as possible
This is a forward facing seat. For 0-4 years, the BabyLove EzySwitch is regularly on sale for $180ish and is extended rear facing with 39cm shoulder marker
    - harnessed for as long as possible
Converts to booster mode at 4 years. I haven't researched this as much, but the EzyGrow or HiPod Manhattan seems recommended for the budget conscious

And despite advertising as from 6 months, they usually have a 'must be this high' entry marker that I doubt a 6 month old would hit

Down to $125 this morning with the discount code.

Grabbed one for the second car.

    • Wow they even lowered the price from yesterday by $20+. Almost gone as well.

      Nice one.

      • Yep, have one from a previous deal (the $79 one) and bought another one.

  • Thanks OP, literally just picked up the last one!
