Are you on one of the main prepaid phone plans (tesltra, boost, aldi, woolworths etc)? Personally I'd just buy one of these http://boost.com.au/plans/ or optus or whichever (I know a fair few has a similar plan) and just tether my device, especially if you're working during that time as well. 3 Months would probably go pretty fast and you can just destroy the sim afterwards.
Probably slightly under your 10gb amount though, so someone might have a better idea.
