Still showing over $350 return for Syd-Per in late November
Looks like travel dates are in Jun 17
Clever planning, i'd argue Syd-Perth is a one way trip.
Is it because WA is so beautiful that you wouldn't want to go back?
err sure.
Was referring to being glassed/stabbed by "locals" hanging out on William St
Lol!!!
Don't worry it is as safe as Kings Cross.
On a serious note I moved from Sydney to Perth a year back and I hated it for few months. Now I don't think I will be moving back anytime soon. I started loving the leisurely life style, the beautiful beaches and wine regions and most importantly the only place in Australia where you can afford to own a house in your 30s.
@rvsure: I own a house in melbourne and I am in my late 20's. Life priorities mate, don't go partying every weekend and you could buy one too
@slimdavy5: Correct! No one knows any more how to struggle a little for what is important (ie skip the Cappuccinos and smashed avocado on toast) I never 'dined out' nor went on a holiday when I got married. Along with working 2 jobs. That is how I paid off a seemingly big mortgage - then. No credit cards either. Youse get what you work for!!!!!!
@Peck: lol - Everyone loves to think they had it toughest.
Truth is, the disparity regarding wages vs deposit ratio has never been more of a problem.
Not only are mortgages the highest they have ever been, so is the required deposit…
Believe it or not, there are many young people working harder than you did or ever have, not drinking cappuccinos or eating the so called "smashed avo" brekky.
Open your eyes. You can't see passed your own face. Get off your horse and come back down to earth like the rest of us.
@DrDollar:
hehe!
Thank Christ that I didn't have to keep up with The Joneses with the Ipads and mobile phones (there were none!).
Even had to think twice before even making a local phone call.
BTW I agree about Wages V Deposit ratio.
I am truly pissed off about the increase of home prices too!
@Peck: This explains, so much. But at least you're upset about house prices too! I guess…
@slimdavy5: Thanks for the great advice mate. Do you have any advice for my problem gambling and drugs too? Apparently partying is the only reason you can't afford a house in Melbourne before you are 30.
For Christ sake not everyone has the same life as you and same priorities as you. Some people were just born into debt, some don't get the right job when they needed it. Stop comparing your life with others. Fyi I haven't touched alcohol in my life and I don't even eat meat. I save more than 50% of my income and I have good amount of money for deposit from just my five years of career.
My point is about affordability of buying house. You might have sacrificed many things to buy a house. Someone in Perth don't need to sacrifice anything to own the same type of house. That was my point.
@DrDollar: How do you work out that mortgages are the highest they have ever been.
@coin saver: O.O - I am concerned.
Too long to wait. Cannot go for it as I am not sure what is going on in next 8 months!
If you book a flight then you will know. :)
damn ! missed the deal :C
