DJI Phantom 4 $1,460.91 Delivered @ Buy Mobile

160

I received an email today from Buy Mobile advertising $1000 off the Phantom 4. They are a local company although I am not sure if the stock is local, I just thought someone would find this interesting.

P4 cost is $1399.95 and delivey to Sydney Metro is $61.95.

Standard Shipping (No PO Boxes) at $61.95 AUD
Express Courier Shipping (No PO Boxes) at $71.95 AUD
PO Box (Takes an extra 5 days) at $83.85 AUD

I went to click off and was given a $20 discount code (BM216) but I am not sure if that works for everyone.

I have already ordered a Mavic Pro so am not going to buy one myself but hopefully someone can get use out of this.

  • that's a good price if this was local stock, I'm not quite sure about that though cz they don't list an ABN so unlikely to have GST

Yeah I wasn't too sure about that myself as their pricing seems to be that of an overseas business.

I have emailed the asking about warranty and GST and will advise once (if) they reply.

      • Heard back yet? Interested to see what they say.

        • Yeah sorry forgot to update it, here is their answer:-

We mainly sourced our items overseas. We are not authorised DJI reseller.

What we have are Invoice that are correctly formatted for taxation purposes in Australia and New Zealand and can also be used for expense and asset purchase claims. All prices include fees and charges to Australia bar shipping. We take care of applicable payments during transit.

Standard delivery takes 2-7 business days. We offer global warranty for DJI products, you just need to contact us so we can assist on the warranty claim.

Watch prices tumble now Mavic is announced.

  • I rather get the Mavic….

    • So would I, which is why I did. But there are people who prefer the P4's camera and now the price has come down it may entice them to grab it over the Mavic.

      • yeah Mavic is a much better choice purely because of it's superior portability. Haven't bit the bullet on the Mavic just yet though, shipping has been delayed to us living down under as usual and there are already 3-4 confirmed crashes. Hopefully the bugs will be ironed out by the end of November when it's likely to be available to the masses.

    • I still believe they are targeted to different groups.

For me, I would go for the P4 as their CMOS sensor is better.

I am currently having a set of P3-P so I will wait till sometime next year - maybe around this time for an upgrade.

    • If they were available in Australia.

      • They will be soon.

Okay then, give me a date.

          @YellowKnight:

          There's no confirm date yet.
But I much rather wait for the mavic than buy the phantom 4 now.

Since I don't absolutely need a drone right now and can wait :)

  • BM216 for $20.99 discount

    • Yes I said that in the original post.

  • Wow just watched video on Mavic, super sweet!

I think I need one for Christmas :)

  • I found this under the FAQ page:

    International Stock
Unless otherwise stated within the product description, the majority of devices are sourced internationally as we get newer, better versions at more attractive prices for you. International stock is sourced from a variety of locations, dependent on availability, price and quality. As all stock ultimately comes from the same factories, in reality the only difference between phones sourced from Australia and overseas is in the charger, which may have a different plug.

I also found it says in the about us page they are a subsidiary for an Australian company Rapid Supply who does have an ABN and provide the after sales support in Australia.

  • Do yourself a favour. Get the Mavic.

    • Why?

  • What sort of prices are we looking at for the Mavic + extra battery?

  • for those who are looking for a Mavic, they have one for the same price as Phantom 4. I'm pretty sure these are grey imports but they seem to have some decent customer service and a Tasmanian return center so kinda better than usual drop-shippers I guess.

    • who they, that deal unpublished
