Hi everyone,
i am looking to install the bamboo flooring for my units, i don't know much about the bamboo flooring market. With my limited knowledge about bamboo flooring, i wanted the following spec: cold press, 14mm thick, with 4mm under lay. The budget is $90 per metre square fully installed if possible. Any recommendation & suggestions is much appreciated.

- Go to a flooring showroom.
- Obtain quotes for supply.
- Showroom will have approved/preferred installers — contact them for pricing/installation schedule.
- Repeat steps 1-3 until you have at least 3 different complete quotes that you're satisfied with.
- Select preferred supplier and installer.
Gumtree is your friend(if you are careful).
I have been to a few stores. But not really happy with the pricing and lack of explanation. Everyone is trying up sell their product. Has been quoted $100-120 fully installed. Considering i am doing nearly 400 square meter. The price is not reasonable at all.
Anyway, i found a supplier, their office is in Sydney, but has warehouse in all all states. Seem to be a lot of good feedback with their materials and reasonable priced. UB trading.

I found a local supplier in the SE suburb Melbourne. It's almost the same range or exactly the same! I am paying around $3 more per square metre but for a peace of mind of a local supplier. Superb Tiles is the supplier. In term of installer, haven't found one yet, they should cost around $22-$25 (minus 10% if u pay cash) for installation. After doing all the research, I decided to get the 3mm rubber underlay. Even though they are giving me free standard underlay (2mm cheap foam+foil). I have been told if you get the standard underlay, overtime, it feel very "flat" and hard. If 4mm or more used, the floor will feel "bouncy". Hope that helps.
