I am completing MyTax this morning, in previous years e-tax has never missed interest from my savings account. This year it lists Ubank, Rams etc. as I have moved money around a bit with interest rate changes. But ME Bank data has not been prefilled. Just wondering if this was a common issue with ME Bank and others have found the same. Thanks.

Hi I guess you just have to go through your statement and calculated the total manually and add in mytax manually.
Yep, and they only keep 6 months worth of transactions on line. So you have to go and dig up your paper statements - hope you haven't lost or chucked out any - and sift through adding it up by hand. Super annoying. Seriously considering ditching ME Bank. None of my other banks are that useless.
? - I can see my statements online back for a couple of years - and at the top it shows "Interest Credit Financial YTD $xxx"
But you're right it doesn't seem to have a section where it would show this without going to the statement.
Ah damn, good to know. I guess I didn't look hard enough.
I also had no prefil data from ME Bank when I went to my accountant last week. I think they have until December to provide the information to the ATO.
hmm, that's annoying. i just rely on the pre-filled data
I think mine missed ME bank last year (Or was it Ubank?) Got a nice refund.. only to be sent an amended return that I owed them back. Was annoying!
Missed MediBank Share info this year.
Did they want interest as well?
No - but they threatened they could, and next time to be a good boy.
Some of these online banks will report all of their tax data in bulk 1-2 years late. It may show up in your pre-fill later on, for now I'd just make a reasonable estimate.
I found this as well. Also ME Bank makes it incredibly hard to find out exactly how much interest they paid you over the last financial year.
