Kuchef Electric BBQ - ALDI

Just looking for some feedback from anyone that has bought one of these Kuchef Electric BBQ from Aldi

I thought to look for one to replace the gas Jumbuck Portable Round Hotplate BBQ when going camping. Normally in caravan parks if you have a powered site you get included electricity. With the electric BBQ you save on gas and you avoid carrying a gas bottle.

Just not sure if they are good enough to cook a steak.

  Looks like it would do exactly the same job as a health grill. Unless you wanted to use the hood to bake in it?
  I take an old electric frypan for when I cant use the camp kitchen. Which is even cheaper.
  (Hate stupid backpackers that aren't worldly enough to know they have to clean the grill when they're finished though.)

  Agree with the old electric frypan being cheaper, but the idea of "bbq" feels more appealing.
  Even though this one is just like an electric frypan that looks like a bbq :-(
  Mind you the gas Portable Round Hotplate BBQ is not much better.
  A charcoal weber would be the best but many caravan parks do not allow fires…and it is also a lot more work…
