  • Wow Twisties on special, that's a surprise!

Now I see this after finishing my table!

    • +1

Bad luck mate. That hurts. Your tables are nice.

      • +1

        Nah it's all good

        • +1

Why don't you give sween64 the table to incorporate into the post?

        • +1

@mclarge: Huh? The table is pretty easy to put in, sween did a good job posting it so fast

        • +1

          @Savas:
Was wondering why it wasn't posted by you……

        • +3

@albanyson: Wanted to but wasn't fast enough!!

    • +7

Prefer the table and groupings for ease of reading :)

  • dont they have Pepsi Next in cans any more?

  • +1

Warning, the sauce seems cheap but it takes up a lot of space in your fridge.

    • +2

You keep sauce in the fridge?

      • +1

Hopefully it does say refrigerate after opening… otherwise what are we eating?

        • They contain preservatives. No way do you need to keep it in the fridge.

        • +1

@sween64: So why would they say to "refrigerate after opening" on the bottle then?

        • @28Degrees: No idea. Also there's a heap of salt as well (as a natural preservative)!

        • @sween64: I opened a bottle of sauce and kept it out for months and it stayed good

        • +1

@sween64: Depends on the Sauce, and your local climatic conditions. While I highly doubt they will go 'off' due to their acidity, I've noticed a reasonable degradation in quality / taste when kept opened in a room that gets to the high 30's / mid 40's when the place is locked up during the day. Probably a moot point if you consume it fast enough, but if it takes many months, it definitely makes a difference.

      • There are two schools of thought on this - one for 'sauce in the pantry' and one for 'sauce in the fridge'.
        Same with/out pineapple on pizza.
If you learn one thing from this season of the Bachelorette it would be these two truths of how the world is divided…

I'd rather be guided by scientists (especially microbiologists) than reality TV when it comes to my health.

It's not just about personal preferences or habit, but that keeps us doing what we've always done, even though things have changed.

Sauces used to contain larger quantities of salt, preservative, etc to prolong shelf life without refrigeration. As my old Grandmother would say - we never had expiry dates on food in my day - which explained ancient boxes of foodstuff on her shelves!

Now we better understand consequences of those additives on our health. Consumer pressure and better testing, has led to those additives being reduced or removed. Hence the warning to refrigerate & likely shorter best-by dates.

But it still differs by the ingredients & your storage conditions - like temperature of your cupboards. Some I refrigerate, some stays out, & with some it depends on the temperature at that time of year.

So microorganisms are more likely to build up than in the past, which may cause upset stomachs or worse. You don't want that sauce bottle turning into a petri dish.

          Worth googling.

    • Just consume it in the same way you would milk. Should only be in your fridge a couple of days then :D

The Cadbury share packs are already at $2.30. The current catalogue special says 2 for $5 but they've reduced it to $2.30 each in order to price match the current special at Coles.

  • time to replenish my supply of Pepsi Max

  • Every Coles I went to didn't have the advertised ZTE 4G Chat in stock. Any reviews for the ZTE ZIP? Just want a call and text phone with occasional hotspotting.

  • Has anybody had the chicken parma pies? I see they are half price this week too. Want to know if they are worth trying?
