  • Go Cubs!

    • +1. Go Cubs! ….. Lived in Chicago a while back and I heard all the horror stories of the Cubs from the locals :)

  • Indians will scalp them!

ps there are far cheaper ways to watch, although you won't get all the bells and whistles of the MLB stream.

    • +1

Yes definitely there are "cheaper" ways to watch it. But given the low price, I think it is worth buying it via MLB to support their low price policy around World Series times.

  • I am finding the wording of the offer a bit confusing.

Click on the main link (as above), and it shows $9.99 for eligible US subscribers - via specific Pay TV providers or iOS devices.

However, if you click on the box for "Outside of the US" it takes you to a different page showing $24.99 for the entire post season (not just the WS).

Also not clear if you can cast from a PC to a (dumb) TV.

    ps I upvoted the deal.

I just paid $9.95USD and I am watching Cubs vs Dodgers Game 6 replay right now. So yes, it is $9.95USD for people outside US/Canada.

      • OK - thanks for the confirmation.

      • Can you replay the games whenever you want?

        • Yes. I just replayed on demand ….. Like NBA League Pass.

  • dumb question, never bought this before….when they say "mobile iOS devices" does that include Apple TV?

    • +1

It should but I have never tried it though. I just watch it on my laptop.

    • +1

Can confirm it works fine on apple tv. MLB.com really has its shit together when it comes to making its service available. Pretty much every internet connected device in my house has a mlb.com app that works beautifully.

Shame the Dodgers are out :(

  • This is a GOOD deal folks. A CHEAP investment. It does not expire until the next season commences, so you can go back and watch archived games from the standard season as well as the post season series at any time you like.

The web-casts for my devices default to High Def as I have full FTTP broadband, however if you suffer constant buffering, you x=can switch out of "Live" to "Archive" view.

MLB Network is very well set up and can be received on a myriad of devices, all of which are very well supported. The MLB Network is very comprehensive.

For me personally, I can view on

    Android TV (Sony)

    Asus Nexus Player (Android TV)

    Western Digital WD TV Player

and on my Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone and Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition)via the 'MLB at Bat' app (subscription free with the MLB season pass). On my android devices I receive a blow-by-blow update via push messages when I am not around to view the games.

For me personally, better than the ESPN broadcasts on Foxtel.

    • If you think this is a good deal, maybe worthwhile place a positive vote on this deal?

Ooops… thanks for that… Good win by the Cubbies today :)

  • thanks again for posting this….the last time I followed baseball was in the 80s… :-P I was not planning to this year either until I read from here how important this game is since the Cubs have not won since 1903……..and apparently the second hand prices for tickets for Game 7 are going for USD 4,500!!!

    • Well I would love to watch it at Wrigley Field but right now I am happy with a USD10 investment with change!!!!

  • What time of day AEDT do the game start?

      • if required
      • Note tomorrow's game is starting 1 hour earlier, due to predicted rain.

  • Was weird having the ads cut out like that. Makes it clear how many ads there are in a game of baseball on tv.

  • It's getting interesting but I can't watch the decider live unless I take a sickie.

When I tried to watch the replay of game 3 I think it was the final score was shown before you even got to select it. Is there a way around that besides closing your eyes as soon as you start the app?

    • Well with Game 7 tomorrow maybe it is worth chucking a sickie?

But I have to say, it is absolutely worth spending the 9.99USD to watch the World Series!
