TPG has just upgraded their ADSL 1 plans, maybe good news for some, uploads are not counted.

They are better than before but not nearly good enough to persuade me away from my 8000k semi-unlimited (and now grand fathered) exetel plan. Something to look at once my 12 month contract runs out and exetel pull the plan from under my feet I guess :)
Hmmm it looks like there are only 4 hours of off peak 4AM to 9AM although shaping speed is good and uploads are not counted.
At this stage I will stick with Motiv until the offpeak is more realistic.
Otherwise thanks for the heads-up
Maths not your forte huh?
i heard TPG is the kakest isp going around i was gonna stop me optus cable and go with tpg but my mate that was with them had no net for a while, so i reconsidered
Be careful, your post is borderline defamation.
Some people find out the hard way.
bugger. i upgraded to a new ADSL plan earlier this month. now they have new plans. oh well. i upgraded again. guess i have more downloads now by just paying an extra 4 cents a month.
Exetel is cheaper.
$45 30gb peak and unlimited off peak, other plans also slightly cheaper

how does the exetel rate ko0l? in terms of reliabilty? It looks like its the best way to go … cheers
Think I am switching to Westnet. Wanting to try 8000. Option 5 is bundle 40/40@8000/384 $79.95 with phone at $29.95. See it here http://www.westnet.com.au/internet/broadband/broadband.aspx?…
I was thinking its about time TPG will change their plan. But was hoping for ADSL 2+ plan change rather than this one. :)
The $69 1500/256 plan is tempting cause Im after a new adsl1 plan (cant get adsl2). Pity bout the $59 setup fee. Think I'll go Supernerd, same price with an extra 80 gig.
