2 private health insurance possible?

Hi
Is this possible?
Private hospital cover with Bupa and extras only cover at Medibank ?
Is there any tax implication or any other issue if we do this ?

    not a problem i think we have hospital with BUPA and extras with Latrobe BUPA extras was dearer than Latrobe the opposite with the extras

    Yep, got HIF for hospital cover and nib for their decent extras. There's no issues at all splitting your insurance between providers

    To answer your other question - for tax, the medicare levy surcharge and the health cover loading are only applicable to hospital cover. There are no tax implications on extras.
