Just made sure to mention Swisse and CW :) saw the comp in their latest newsletter, I reckon a few people would've missed it
So THAT's the secret to WOLs… :)
Lol there's no real secret, depends what they look for
Nando's also had a comp for this show. Had to do 5 transactions over a week, plus a 25 WOL. They closed the comp last night, and somehow were able to notify winners by 2pm this arvo. Highly doubt they checked either the 25 WOL, or the purchase requirement :/
So sometimes they check, sometimes it becomes a lucky draw!
@Spackbace: Hmm if you were like, say, a first-time winner I'd say highly likely but as I said to Cristobel, there seem to be a few people (yourself and her included) who win quite consistently so it can't just be all luck now can it.. you need to take some credit.
Lol cheers :) and honestly I never put much time into them, whatever comes to mind really. Not worth grinding over for hours or something if they barely read them anyway :)
I do always try to rhyme, just to make it different from people going 'I really want to win because I've never won anything and I really want to go'… Or to that extent :)
Trying to remember what I wrote, something like:
Having 2 kids under five,
Means no money for Rnb Live!
Swisse gives us the energy we need
Please CW, don't make me plead!@Spackbace: If you came up with something like that simply with "whatever comes to mind" then I don't know what to say… I know though that "whatever comes to mind" doesn't work for everyone (ie, me lol), which is why I gave up ages ago. Great tips, I am sure one day they'll come in handy for something I can't resist.
@gnv9: I think it's a numbers game too….I enter A LOT, I think my average is about 1 win for every 150 entries at the moment.
Also I only enter comps for things I do actually want which I think is good Karma :)@Cristobel: Agree Cristobel, surely numbers play a part - your stat proves it and also with the Gleam comps, the winners usually have like thousands of entries. Don't know how they do it.
Alright, so far I've got:
1. Mention the people giving out the prizes if it applies.
2. In doing so, rhyme.
3. Don't say what immediately comes to mind (not gifted, unlike someone ahem :))
4. Don't stop at one.
5. Hope God is on my side.
:)@gnv9: UGH I hate those Gleam comps….very little chance of winning with hundreds of thousands of entries I reckon!
@Cristobel: Yeah chances are almost zero with those esp if global but there are optimistic people among us - they seem quite popular. Easy entry I guess.
I like the ones that tell you how many have entered - Gleam/Sweepstakes, and Facebook ones. Coz I see how large the number is and keep scrolling! Or the reverse, see only 20 or so people entered into a Facebook one, and enter!
@Spackbace: exactly!
Winner from 1 entry :)
