Just getting on the xiaomi redmi 3 bandwagon now. However I'm a bit confused on which the best xiaomi redmi to get is? Note 3 pro vs Note 3 prime vs Pro (only) vs Pro Prime

And which store would be best to get it from? Ali express vs banggood?

    I heard most new Xiaomi phones are getting MIUI 9, including various Redmi Note 3 & 4.

  Go for one of the Notes.

  I got just the Pro, and haven't been able to find screen protectors or cases for it anywhere yet. Even those advertised on eBay as Redmi 3 Pro cases are actually for the Note. For the extra $20, you may as well!

  The Redmi 3 Pro is very good however. The only downside is that some apps look for the model of phone you are using, and if Redmi 3 isn't on the list, they will either not function, or have very limited function even though the hardware and os is quite capable. But this is a very rare occurrence.

  Note 3 Pro Prime has a better processor, 32GB ROM, 3GB RAM, more battery life, better display, is bigger than the Redmi Pro. I thought I might have had issues with the size of the RMN3 but I don't think I can actually go back now so you'd be getting more for your money going with the pro. Aliexpress is usually the go for purchasing, or whatever other semi-reputable site is having a sale here on OzB. Monty.melb and Clear here on OzBargain has good connections with Everbuying, Geekbuying and sister sites which are always coming out with deals for these Chinese phones. Goldway is a reputable seller on Aliexpress, as is Eternal Team and Dreami (or pretty much any other store with 'diamond' store ratings) if you go for Ali. Make sure you always get the Snapdragon version of the devices, as development is way more active and they are more energy efficient. You can also get a Special Edition of the Kenzo (RMN3PP) which is codenamed Kate, gives you the coveted band 28 but I'm going fine without it.
