Back in stock on eBay. Got one. Thanks mate

    • It's not showing on mine….

      • Mine neither, also called my local, back to 59

Although he did say there was a good chance that if I can show that on the website today what the price was they would honour it

  • just picked up mine

  • Can anyone here upload a receipt preferably or name the stores they bought it from, rather urgent!

Edit: I am actually in the store after being told that I can have the unit on the phone.

  • I just got shipping confirmation of my order of 3 units for home delivery :)

    • Thank mate, hopefully come in handy tomorrow when showing 'proof'

      • how did you go

        • Hey guys, I have tried using your online screenshot and also the eBay website to the cashier but she said online price is different from stores. I said no it's not, they are all the same prices. So she rang the manager and the manager obviously know about the $20 deal and told the cashier something. She came back to me saying that its an online only offer. I told her it's not and I would like to price match their own company's website price then. She refused and insisted its online offer. So I left with nothing. Hahaha! Not my time to have a pressure cooker that I always wanted. Lol

Mate I have been wanting to get back to people for a while but my phone died, went well it's now on hold for me to pick up for 20 bucks. For the sake of others she said she had to check with head office and once they confirmed it she was fine with it.

Thanks to all who responded to help (esp you mate), great stuff and power to OB!

        • @Jackson: Cool, well done! I wonder if I could get it from the store again if the head office says okay

        • @sharethelove: the arguement I made was basically that I went in on the same day as the price was offered, I guess you wouldn't be able to make that argument now. Whatever you do, go in during the day when they can call head office (which might mean during the week, but Monday might be too late)

        • @sharethelove: Have you checked your emails to see if you have received one of the targeted offers from paypal to spend on ebay , there are a handful of the cookers available again on target ebay unfortunately selling at $59 though.

        • @Triple J: Nope, didn't get any offers. Thanks for the idea though :)

        • @Jackson: Fair enough. I couldn't go during the day as I have to work. Hope you will get yours soon :)

      • did you gt one. there are 5 more availble at the moment

        • Nope, haven't got one. Were these 5 selling at $20 or $59?

  • can someone provide a picture of the actual receipt from store so we can price match, or try :( i really want this one, qld

  • I know this may be a long shot, if anyone in Perth has a spare one and would like to sell, could you please pm me? Thanks in advance!

  • Anyone in Brisbane area willing to sell their spare ones please pm me %):)

    • Check your emails to make sure you haven't received one of those targeted offers from paypal to spend on ebay

      • No such luck for me :'(

  • Does anyone know where to get a stainless steel insert for these? While the outer shell is SS I'm led to believe that insert is teflon-coated aluminium. Cheers

  • received my delivery of 3x pressure cookers

will be perfect Christmas gifts for the family

  • Got mine today, have yet to use it. For those who already have, can you tell me if the pressure valve is supposed to be loose? I have set the valve to 'closed' but it doesn't feel any different to 'open'? And the instructions are a bit confused as well. For example if I want to cook brown rice do I use the method on page 11 which says to add water equivalent to the amount of rice? (So 2 cups of rice and fill the pot with water to the '2' indicator on the side) or do I use the timetable on page 19 which says use 1 1/2 cups of water to 1 cup of rice? Also the manual doesn't say what pressure these things run at. I have tried to call the Bellini importers but the phone rings out and they haven't answered my emails either.

    Cheers

    • Hi! Just saw your post. I cook white and brown rice at a ratio of one cup uncooked rice to 1.5cups water. I then place the pot into the cooker, add the lid, set valve to close and then instead of using rice mode I use the manual mode and set it for 9 minutes. Once the machine beeps 5 times, you can either press the keep warm button to turn keep warm off and allow it to "natural release" which takes about 5 to 10 minutes or.. I just use the rice spoon to push the valve to 12oclock which is not as open as the open. Once all the steam is released, you can easily open the lid and fluff the rice. I've cooked rice in my pot atleast 12 times now.. The only time I messed up was when the rice wasn't evenly spread out on the base lol..so make sure to swirl the rice to make sure the rice is spread out evenly! Hope this helps!

Edit : yes the valve feels quite loose but the close position does seal the steam in and the cooker will not hold pressure if the vent is set to open.

  • Thanks for that. I've tried 2 lots of rice, 1 white and one brown and they got came out a bit too wet so I've got some experimenting to do. I got on to the importers and the tell me this unit runs at about 11psi fyi. :)

    • Wow great job finding out the PSI of this unit! Thanks!! I've been wanting to know the same myself.

Hope the rice turns out. I've read that it's better to natural release the cooker to get better rice ie: turn off keep warm and leave valve on close. I'm too impatient though (lol) so I always release the steam, check the rice, and if on the occasion it's too wet I either manual cook it for another 5 and release steam again or if it's only a little wet then I'll leave the keep warm open and lid off to let the wetness evaporate. It happened when I first started learning how to use the machine so maybe it's just the machine "breaking in" and not us being bad cooks /jokes

  • Made this tonight. http://cookingequipment.about.com/od/recipesandhowtos/ss/preā€¦

Followed the directions exactly and was pretty damned good. Couldn't find 'pearl onions' so I subbed in small brown pickling onions from the vege shop instead.
