more like salt n pepa…. arhh push it!

    • -2

Thats sensible because there are more than one type of salts and peppers.

  • Electric so plug into power point:)

  • +7

wow 6 AAA batteries to operate lol hand power would be cheapest

    • Yeah good point. I hope it comes with batteries. I wonder if it has a manual option?

  • -5

    I get $5 for pickup

    • +3

Maybe just go in the store and buy it

  • +1

Nice, got this for $2 when on clearance a few months back.. hard part was finding the 6 AAA batteries it takes to work…

    • eneloop?

      • +1

Meh, it would cost me more to buy the eneloops then…

    • +7

Great - now I can't in good conscience buy these for 10 bucks if I know someone else has gotten 'em for 2. ><

  • +1

Unless you have children, they love this "toy"!

  • Maybe you're just sick? Stop blaming it on the utensils and get yourself to a doctor!

    • +2

You're right, cos when I read this I was like I'm sick of your negative attitude

True ozbargainers crush peppercorns with a tea towel and a hammer.

    • +18

Hammer? just step on them. Then if anyone says the pepper tastes like dirt you can be like "well it was ground this morning"

    • +7

True ozbargainers put whole peppercorns on their steak and grind using their teeth. Saves on tea towels and hammer wear and tear.

      • 'Hammer wear and tear' pure gold:)

      • Tooth enamel wear and tear will be more costly

        • When you're too cheap to buy a hammer - your problems will start to look more chewable?

  • +2

My experience has generally been negative with these AAA battery grinder. Gone back to those cheap and cheerful manual ones which has zero maintenance

    • Yes a lot of them are rubbish. Russel Hobbs are ok, except the chrome over the button and on the top comes unglued after a while, they tip over and crack, and the light stops working due to rust where the screws are located. Eneloops (4x in the RHs) last for months.

      • I got a Bodum one which is meant to start grinding when you tilt it. Just stop working one day when we need it most.

  • +1

    Wow, $5 extra for Click-n-Collect!

    • Yep, paying 5 more bucks for them to do nothing

  • +2

I think I will use it with sugar cubes.

Put those teeth breaking silver and gold cake decorating balls in there and grind them out onto cake servings.

      • Omg. You're a genius!

  • Not a fan of the redesign with the buttons on the top. I've got a side button version which feels much more natural to hold. Been going strong for years

    • Is your version also a twin salt n pepper in one? Like the idea of only one item for both.

      • nah, mine is two separate units

  • How to check which store have stock?

True OzBargainers use McDonald's salt and pepper sachets.

  • +1

Plenty of stock at forest lake :) also AAA 36PK $8

  • I use saxa salt and pepper mills for no cost :)

    • You can't refill em tho.. And you get bulk from saxa to use in this fancy looking grinder

  • +2

    Review time!

Easy setup! Make sure you get some AAA's you'll need 6! I got 36pk from target $8

Refilling is a tad hard due to the hole being small, take note not to get the salt and pepper sides mixed up for obvious reasons!

You can adjust the grind by tightening the adjuster underneath

You can't run both sides at the same time

Overall nice and handy and great price!

P.S pepper and salt can be purchased from Coles or woolies

I got a bag of salt for <$3 should last ages

    9/10 stars from me!
