I am just wondering if anyone could find me a reasonable spec chromebook for around the $250 mark. My last one came from Amazon.com via an ozbargain deal but sadly after 3 years its on its way out. I have had a look but to be honest would appreciate some advance as the specs mean very little to me. Also it's from my hubby and he would Iike a mans colour I.e. not white.

Thanks I will have a look at those ones, the colour was his only stipulation, he's a bit of a plank sometimes, I think he was afraid it would get dirty lol

MATE definitely grab an acer cb3-131 im using one right now. I got it off Amazon on sale for 149US dollars. In total it came to 233 AUD delivered
ASUS C201 Chromebook — ~USD $175 delivered / AUD $230. It's super lightweight (under 1kg), Rockchip RK3288 is fast enough for web browsing and battery lasts for 13 hours. It's white-blue though.

Huh..? Since when was white a feminine colour? :) Plus if you're after a reasonably speced Chromebook at $250, It would be difficult to find one at that price point.. have you considered refurbs? Otherwise you would looking to spend at least $300-350 for a decent chromebook, at least if buying local I guess? :) I could find one around that price point at Amazon and also one here. Yep so buying from Amazon is perhaps the more appropriate option if $250 is the mark
