I've googled, talked to Telstra support to to avail.
Does Telstra Air support the Wi-Fi G protocol?
Thanks in advance.

I have a N card on "loan", so I was going to pick up a awus036h on the cheap
Edit: thanks for the reply
Only way you could tell is to try and connect using a 802.11g device.
I'd test for OP as I have an old adapter in the closet but there are no Telstra Air aps near me.
I've got a USB adapter but unless I brought a laptop to the hotspot I don't think I would be able to test?
Edit : @shawncro 222 confirmed it does work
radio waves
pretty normal frequency within the 2.4ghz spectrum
You can set an AP not to allow 802.11b/802.11g clients because they can (probably will) degrade the network.
Most current APs also use the 5ghz band and can do channel steering.
802.11ad can use 60ghz.. but that won't be in Telstra Air.
Telstra Air works with b/g/n/ac on 2.4 and 5ghz
i live next to a hotspot
:)
Have you tried a b or g client?
yes, both my old samsung / old laptop worked okay
some devices don't like WPA / WPA2 vs TKIP
this can be the issue sometimes
Thanks @shawncro 222, @fruit and @realfancyman :). Guess I'll get that adapter then :)
Does your device only support 802.11g?
