    • "After fourteen hours my shin on bone and vegetables along with barley split peas etc soup it still was not cooked"

still there will be people who buy this cos "it only cost $4". But the amount of electricity spent will far outweigh the cost lol

That's pretty slow, as advertised though

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the store credits can be used anymore - my store credit linked with the 5th catalogue expired last week…

I got a second lot, exp 27/10, but this one has a pin number

I think it would depend on when you signed up. I used my first one this week but only signed up two weeks ago.

Ah, that makes sense. Didn't realise that different sign up dates result in changes to the eligibility period.

We had the upper spec model of this (with digital buttons) and it was hopeless. After 8 hours, things weren't cooked properly - even on high.
We bought a cheap Kambrook one and was blown away by the difference. I'd say all Russell Hobb slow cookers are pretty feeble.

Every Russell Hobbs product I've used has been shit.

      • +2

        Seconded.
We currently own 4 slow cookers. Two cheap Woolies ones, and two Kambrook ones. They are all superior to this. The 6.5L Woolies one can be had for $40. That's how you "cook up a feast for a gathering of friends" - 3.5L will barely do a family of four..depending on what you're making.
OP, please don't simply paste the marketing material.

      • As substanceless as the man upon which it bares its name

    • That's amazing. I thought that Slow Cookers were so simple that it was impossible to get wrong. Wow just wow

      • -1

Please don't say "wow just wow" ever again.

        • +1

appreciate the feedback. I could have potentially gone for some punctuation — "Wow, just wow" or indeed "Wow…just wow"

  • I bought the Kambrook one.

  • Anyone with a spare code they're not using? Please pm me.

  • Everyday 5L @ kmart $20 looks the same, works just as good, & no need to deal with tgg.

Thanks OP, just purchased mine 2 hours ago and just got a call to pick it up!
