I've been trying to buy the iPhone 7+ (Or 7)outright for a little while, any colour but haven't had any luck. Has anyone got one outright ? If yes which store did you get from and when. I am hoping by now stock levels improved. It doesn't help all the issues with the galaxy note 7 would have seen an increased demand imo. I wanted to get before I go away at the end of this month so I can claim TRS at the airport as I am going to give one as a present. If anyone had luck and can point me in the right direction that'd be great.

Sounds like you may have missed the train. I just ordered one from the apple website (silver) which said 3-4 weeks and I had it in a week.
Thats not too bad. When I went to the store they told me between 2-3 weeks but wouldn't guarantee anything . I chose not to risk it. Would of been fine I guess.

I don't know a single Note 7 user who would buy an iphone.The fact that you think people would be willing to switch to iOS just shows me you're a basic user. Just contact all the Apple stores around you.
Well to an extent… a lot of people simply don't care which ecosystem they use. The general population aka "basic" users only know about the big brands like Samsung and Apple, so it does make sense for people to switch given what's happened to Samsung's reputation and the fact that the 7+ also has big screen real estate.
I know of a few. Knowing that the bulk of users are "basic" yes I do expect a demand increase. Have tried contacting the apple stores day in and out.
Yeah just a heads up, even Apple employees have just been given the ability to buy an iPhone 7 with their staff discounts (which still have the waiting periods), so that won't help either.

Thank you all for replying. I ordered an iPhone 7+ Gold 32gb at officeworks online . Apparently it will be available to collect from my local store in 2 business days. Fingers crossed.

just check the Apple website daily for stock and if there is, rush to the store and get it asap.
