Just bought a pair of the dessert clark boots in beeswax (imo the best colour) for $120 delivered. Not bad considering it goes for a little bit more on Amazon I believe.

If you have a chance to try the beeswax on beforehand I would recommend it. The leather is very hard and the sole is not super comfortable. However after a few wears and a $10 insole they are my favourite shoes.

Would the Clarks desert boots be able to handle a bit of water? I'll be in London in a few months and wanted something fashionable that would be OK with the winter weather

  if not then consider applying a waterproofer like nikwax, which is what i use and apparently better than dubbin :)
