    http://www.geardo.com.au/index.php/xiaomi-10000mah-power-ban…

$45.95 (express posted) for a Xiaomi 10,000mAh with QC and Type-C… why should we buy yours OP?

    Manufacturer Xiaomi
Model Mi Power Bank Pro 10000mAh Black
    Type Lithium-ion rechargeable cell
    Capacity 10000mAh
    Input 12V / 9V / 5V
    Output 12V / 9V / 5V
Safety Supports protection from over-voltage (input and output), over-current (input and output), short circuit, over-charge, over-discharge, and battery Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC)

    • Feel free to read up on product reviews and comparisons if you're unsure which one is better. Historically Anker and Xiaomi have different price points so they are not really comparable. Anker PowerCore+ 10050 currently retails for US$39.99 on Amazon.com (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013HSQXZC/).

I don't care about RRP, I care about an actual reason why yours is worth purchasing.

Coz on paper, there's no reason to pay $2 more to get the same thing with regular postage…

          Let me try

          1) For iPhone charging: Anker outputs 5V/2.4A vs Xiaomi 5V/2A. i.e. faster charging for iPhone.
          2) USB Type-C port: Anker input/output vs Xiaomi input only. i.e. True USB Type-C charging for newer Android phone like Nexus 5X, 6P, etc.

          EDIT: I didn't neg you.

          @O O:

Doesn't look like Anker does USB-C at all? At least not without a USB to USB-C cable.

        • @derfel.cadarn: Sorry, my mistake. I mixed up PowerCore+ 10050mAh with PowerCore+ 20100mAh which does have USB-C port.

    • I have this power bank, I got it from Ali Express (I think …)

Very happy with this particular product. Bear in mind, my requirements are likely to be different than yours:
      - I have a Moto X Style (Micro USB, not USB Type C), supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0
      - I planned to use this power bank as a compact and portable device (this has 2-way quick charge, so you can also quick charge the power bank on the go, provided you have a Quick Charge compatible wall charger). I don't think everyone cares about this, but it was important for me. These power banks with high battery capacity do take a while to fully charge.
      - Also, Quick Charge 2.0 is a Qualcomm proprietary feature. Qualcomm lists this device as Quick Charge 2.0 certified, but the Xiaomi is not. It's likely their own in-house tech for faster charging (don't know how good/bad it is compared to Qualcomm's). I have no idea which is actually better for your battery in the long run, but I think my phone was intended to work with Quick Charge 2.0, so I stick with that.

I have both an Anker and a Xiaomi. The Anker is a far better build. For around the same price the Anker is better value.

I have a few Xiaomi's in different sizes but have heard the Anker ones are much better and have the faster charging connection.
Cheaper at Amazon but then you need to add shipping.

    • Since when are 10400mAh Xiaomi's this expensive?

    • I just like the finish better on my Anker. It also came with a neat little net-foam pouch, and a proper 2.4A cable.

Probably give my old Xiaomi away to family or something.

  • I have the Xiaomi Pro. One big plus is the thickness of the pack, its only slightly thicker that its 5000mah slim packs and similar to my S6E with a case. The Ankler one looks good, but it uses 18650 cells I presume, not custom Li ion cells like the Xiaomi, hence the thickness

  • Looks really good and I've been needing one of these, cheers CableGeek

    • Thanks!

  • Hmm only one output? I think this one better
    http://m.banggood.com/Qualcomm-Certified-BlitzWolf-BW-P3-100…

Also looks like qc 2.0 for input.

    • I was looking at this a few months ago, it doesn't have QC input - 5V/2A (max)

      • it says 5 hours charging i think pretty fast - remember you will need fast charger to charge the powerbank to utilised the QC input feature.

        Charging time
        5 hours (with 5V/2A Charger)
        10 hours (with 5V/1A Charger)

unless they lied, or probably 5 hours charging 10000mah is still too slow?

        • Xiaomi Pro had QC input charge. Recharge time is 2 Hours i think

This powerbank is basically exactly the same as the BlitzWolf version which can be had for $30.

    • -1

      Except it's made by Anker.

    • link to that blitzwolf please? is that the same as what i linked? but its input is not QC2.0

  • -1

Rofl. They are made by the same manufacturer in China. Just different label applied. Same cardboard packaging.
