Memory Card/Batteries for Go Pro 5

So with about 500 Ozbargainers soon to be in a possession of a shiny, new Go Pro 5, we need to start looking for accessories, mounts, cases and more importantly, batteries and memory card(s).
Can anyone recommend a good bang for buck 64gb+ memory card for me to spend my dollarydoos on? Similar request for batteries as I haven't started doing my research yet into whether Go Pro 4 batteries are cross compatible and if there are any good aftermarket suppliers.

    Memory card has to be as fast as you can get. Look to the Sandisk Extreme range

      I agree, go for Extreme or Extreme Pro. They come with a lifetime warranty so should last you long enough for the next GPH with a higher bitrate requirement as well.

    Go pro 5 uses different type of battery.

    I have one of these from an Mwave deal - will it be compatible (its 200GB) and quick enough?

      Afaik they only read up to 128GB cards, though you might get lucky :/

        Thanks - in my experience, products often state a top limit, but in reality the larger cards work. This is often because no card of such size existed when the product was first specced
