hi so my phone decided to randomly poop itself and go into the notorious lg g4 bootlooping problem. i was just wondering if any ozbargainer has found a fix/solution to this? i bought the phone from kogan ebay 13 months ago so i assume i can't claim warranty with them… i just contacted lg support and am awaiting a reply.
Is There a Current LG G4 Bootloop Fix?

Do Kogan honour Australian consumer law? Because the 12 month warranty thing is overridden by items lasting for a "reasonable time", you could argue (I'm pretty sure Kogan won't listen) that since most phones come with a 2 year plan that 2 years is a reasonable lifetime for that phone.
Kogan is a shit company
Haha, touche.
I'd try pushing an os via lgup, if you can install something else it's not a hardware boot loop.
i cant even access the phone so i dont think this approach is possible
damn unlucky, mine crapped itself 11 months into my warranty with kogan.
since yours is 13 you just missed it
As I understand, it's similar to the fault on PS3s - a hardware fault in the manufacture that means dodgy soldering of the chip to the board, and thus dodgy contacts. Basically impossible to fix, except for a short term (to get files off).
It's also a known design flaw, which means LG should cough up. Polite but firm is the way, and if the front line won't play ball you go round the side.
Even LG don't know…
