  • Bit pricey still. $33 for one adult with fees. I'm used to the cheapskate kings tix for $15 Also gen admission tix not aavailableon telstra wwhich comes out to tthessame

I'll give you a + for the wildcats

Used to go the NBL at least once a week, often twice, in the 80's and 90's. Thought I'd take my daughter to her first NBL game in Perth last year, during the regular season, and the cheapest seats up in the nosebleed section were over seventy fricken dollars each. The seats halfway down from the nosebleed section were over $200. Each. During regular season. Yeah, nah.

    • Umm. Not sure how. Cheapest tickets for this week's game are $20/adult. Next cheapest are about $40.

Courtside are $300, as worst case scenario.

Maybe you're memory isnt what it used to be?

      • Nothing wrong with my memory, this was on a game day last season.

        • So then there's every chance you weren't looking at seats in the cheapest category…?

Not many sports discount tickets at the last minute, because there's still a rush of people at the Box Office at the event itself, getting tickets

        • @Spackbace: Not at all, I was on the ticketek site, where it gets you to pick your seat. The $70+ tickets were up high along the wall. As I stated elsewhere, it was about 2-3 hours pre-game and there were a bunch of unsold seats. Presumably they were priced that high because they were expecting demand for them. If they had been $20-$30 I would have purchased them.

        • @COR80:

Yes, and some of the Bronze sections are up top. They don't jack the prices last minute, they stay the same.

          http://www.wildcats.com.au/featured-news/perth-wildcats-tick…

Prices prices have not increased since the 2014/15 season, and begin at just $10 for children and $20 for adults.

          Check the seating guide here
Nickel is the $20 tickets, when they open up the nosebleeds. Silver can be expensive, which is likely the seats you were looking at.

Let me repeat myself, the prices don't change at the last minute or on the last day!

        • @Spackbace: Well there's not much more I can say; those were the prices quoted when I clicked on the seat allocation map.

        • +1

          @COR80:

Yep, but I'm telling you they're not the cheapest prices on offer… If you don't leave it till the last minute, you'll be able to go to a game for much cheaper than you thought it was.

    • +1

Yeah you probably left it too late and all reasonably priced seats were sold out. You can get seats in Perth for around $30. Also PA is great so nosebleed is not even an issue. Great views from everywhere. Also Perth has the BEST on court entertainment by a mile. The sleepy town does it better than anyone else.

      • Go WILDCATS!! :D

      • Yes, you're quite right it was 2 or 3 hours pre-game. Thing was there was a bunch of unsold seats, so demand didn't correlate to the prices they were trying to charge.

  • How much are family tickets ?

    • Check your state, they change with different stadiums

      • -1

        They're not showing family tickets…

just $28.40 to $32.80 for Adult
        $12.45 to $13.65 for Junior.

        yet the link says

Get closer to the game with adult, kids and family tickets.

Not paying $100 to take the family to a basket ball game… What a rip-off !!!

        • -2

Not paying $100 to take the family to a basket ball game… What a rip-off !!!

Yet $100 would barely get you into an AFL match, and if it did you'd be so far back that you'd be relying on the screens just to see the play. At least at the basketball arenas, every seat can see the players and what goes on.

        • +1

          @Spackbace:

Yet $100 would barely get you into an AFL match,

Actually, it's around $40 for 2 adults through Telstra and the kids are free on Sundays… Averages out to $10 per person.

Often you can get $15 General admission tickets to some games too… That would make it $30 for a family of four on a Sunday.

        • @jv:

If you're gonna talk best case scenario, then $40 gets 2 adult tickets to the wildcats.

Or you could play it even-handed and look at standard ticket prices for both games, for any state.

        • @Spackbace:

then $40 gets 2 adult tickets to the wildcats.

I'm in Melbourne and looking for 2 adults and 2 kids tickets on Sunday afternoon…

          $100 is a ridiculous price to pay…

        • +1

          @jv:

I'm in Perth and don't get those prices you quoted on AFL tickets.

          You missed the point completely.

        • @Spackbace:

I'm in Perth and don't get those prices

Maybe this is only a good deal in Perth then…

        • +1

          @jv:

No because it is 20% off regular prices… it doesn't state compare this ticket price value against soccer, AFL, rugby, lawn bowls or whatever other sport you prefer to watch in your location I would have thought… each stadium will have different prices based on the popularity of the team, the stadium facilities, etc..

        • @sarakoth:

No because it is 20% off regular prices…

It doesn't make it a bargain… Halftix usually have much better prices for sports events.

        • @jv:

what's the halftix website? or do yo mean sportstix?

        • @gimme:

          They changed name, same company…

  • Wildcats tickets are notoriously expensive like everything else over in Perth. Tickets are a lot more reasonable elsewhere.

I've got platinum seats one row back from the court at the Taipans and it costs me $600 a year (14 home games) to renew. Once or twice a season I'll pass on my ticket to my mate so he can take his GF and I'll take the entire family and sit up in the cheap seats and it's still under $60 for the four of us. I've also been to a few Kings and Breakers games and although it was a bit more expensive it was still pretty reasonable.

Check it out, good night out for the family.

    • Supply and demand. Wildcats sell over 12,000 per game right now. Majority of that are members.
If they're filling Perth arena at current prices, they have no need to reduce the cost.

Though $20/adult in the nosebleeds is reasonable for a national sports game.

      • Agree. Whatever people say about the Wildcats they are a very well-run club, and do a very good job of marketing their games, getting people in the doors and then renewing their memberships every year.

        • That and the winning streak. 10 years ago they had nowhere near the profile they do now.
Which is good to see really. Basketball in Perth is like it was in the 80s/90s.

Now if only there was more FTA viewing, even delayed broadcasts.

        • @Spackbace: Arent SBS showing the games FTA this year?

        • @cristobaljames:

Only one game a week on Sundays. If you're a Telstra customer you can sign up for FREE NBL TV for all games.

        • @gimme: Ok cool, will keep that in mind

    • -1

Arguably, you're paying for the best team, best entertainment, best venue and location and chances of coming away with a WIN on the day is quite high. If course it's all subjective.

  • Fair deal for those interested, but I'm not likely to attend a Melbourne game that isn't Tigers, Melbourne United have no soul imo

    • Is Andrew Gaze still playing ?

      • i think he is coaching the Sydney Kings now

  • I went to the first Bullets game against Wildcats in last week. Great game!

  • Can this be stacked with the entertainment book deal, anyone know?

    • What deal?

Wildcats tickets are from Ticketek, I'm not sure of any places that offer discounted Ticketek Gift Cards

  • Havent the book in front of me but they have a BOGOF free offer for game tix.

  • Thanks, some mates were planning on going this Saturday as well.
