    Wow
I am pretty sure you can buy these gift card from woolies using the 5-6 % e gift cards
So essentially ~$60 for $100 of stuff which could be sale items
And I usually buy egift card using AMEX
    Double votes from me ++

    • +17

Step 1: purchase $100 eGift card for $95 using Cashrewards
Step 2: purchase $100 SCA gift card with $115 value using above Woolworths deal USING eGift cards from Step 1.
Step 3: buy $115+25 =$140 worth of stuff using code for $25 off.
Result: $140 worth of product for $95 cash outlay. Works out to be 34% off the shop :) rinse and repeat in multiples of $140 in SCA cart.

      • +5

you would be better off buying $100 worth of stuff using $75 of the gift card credit, then using the remaining $40 on the gift card in later transactions.

        • I like it!

        • +1

          @yojabbajabba:

also, instead of buying a $100 card, buy 2 $50 cards to get 2 4c off fuel vouchers instead of 1

        • @chickenface:

you can use more than 1 giftcard in the checkout?

        • +1

          @CVonC:

The FAQs on their website says you can't - only one card per transaction :(

  • SCA doesn't have a good butane torch.. Just the little pocket one with custom refills. Oh well, Bunnings it is.

    • Did you do a proper search? They even have MAP torches.

      • They're propane

        • What are you planning to use it for?

An item I buy from SCA quite regularly (temporary carport) was $84 in March 2016, now $110. Becomes $85 after discount.

    • Was it discounted in March (catalogue special)?

    • +14

Why do you buy temporary carports regularly?

      • +3

They are temporary carports. As such they don't last long before needing to be replaced.

        • +1

          One permanent carport?

          @cymon:

Yes, this would be much preferred. Unfortunately I rent

      • I think they must fly away often

  • Awesome. Got myself a jump starter that was already on sale. Thanks OP!

    • One of those new mini jump starters?

      • +1

Nah, I got the SCA 1200A one. I'll also use it to help power a Waeco CFX-35 fridge when camping.

        • Hi Toasty. Weird question I know, and I'm sure you've got better things to do, but if it isn't too much hassle, could you tell me how much that jump-starter weighs?

        • Dont expect much out if that 24Ah battery if you're running a fridge

        • +1

@youknow: No worries, the manual says it weighs 9.16kg.

        • @XeKToReX: Yep, only plan to use if for a couple of hours in the evening.

        • @toasty: Thank you very much :)

Ordered a bunch of Bowden's Own products (on sale this weekend) and some other random stuff. Used egift card + $50 supercheap auto gift card. All worked perfectly at checkout.

If you get a $50 gift card ($47.50 with egifts) giving $57.50 with bonus 15% credit it works out to be:

    $47.50 + $17.50 (credit card) = cost of $65 for $100 at checkout (35% saving)

    • So you can but the SCA gift card for this promotion and get the disc ?

      • +1

Yep. gift card worked for me

        • I mean buying SCA gc with SCA gc that we purchased from WW and still get $25 off ?

        • +1

@yht: yes you can add the $25 discount and pay with gift cards. I just did 2 separate transactions to get the $25 each time. Worked out about $95 out of pocket for a 3 x 3m gazebo pretty good deal

Just ordered their 2000kg trolley jack (online sale for half price) and pin stands (online sale 30 percent off) and then the $25 off, total $89.74.

    Good deal.

    • I end up bought the 2500kg version for $15 more. With 5cm more and I reckon it's a better deal.

      • Every cm counts hey? ;)

    • +5

I've had one for a while and really handy, but please be careful of anything heavy on wheels. Average of about 1 death every 2 months in Aust.

@holdenmg: I appreciate the detailed response. Thank you.

Last time I ordered the tax invoice arrived st 9:43am, and I received the gift cards at 11:04am. I checked the time stamps on the emails.

    • -5

It's a bloody joke - it should be instant… considering it's an entirely electronic process.
      - Placed order @ 10:35am for e-gift card
      - Received invoice for e-gift card @ 11:56am
      - Still waiting for actual e-gift card to arrive at 12:10am

Lucky I jumped on this this morning - be stuffed if I placed the order late this afternoon, considering we then have to go into Woolies to buy the gift card, to then use again online :/

      • … and why I'd get a negative for pointing out how stupid Woolworths' system is is beyond me?! I'll also add that as I live in SA, our stores close at 5:00pm today (thanks to our stupid Government), so if I'd ordered this mid-afternoon, I'd be lucky to get the voucher in time to get to a Woolies to buy a gift card.

        • +2

Orders are flagged randomly or if they fulfill certain criteria to be checked manually

        • +2

Lol don't get mrdevil started about the government!

      • Finally received the e-gift card PDF at 1:30… went and picked up a SCA gift card, purchased it using the Self-Serve checkout (incredibly obvious - purchasing just a gift card, paying for it with an A4 piece of paper, punching in the code manually… don't think the supervising staff member could have cared less :)).

Quite happy with my score - 2x sets of Bendix Brake Pads (2-for-1), Ryco Oil Filter & Cabin Air Filter (20% off 2nd filter), H/Duty Tyre Air Tool (catalogue sale item), and 4x air fresheners to pad out the order … "$255.37" value for only $96.85 - :) :)

        • 2x sets of Bendix Brake Pads (2-for-1)

you were able to get that to work on the website??

        • @CVonC:

Sure was - only applies to their "Ultra Premium" range aka the SCA "exclusive" version of their General CT products.

I did find that if you use the "Find Your Car" function, where it then lists all the various brake pads, filters, spark plugs, fluids etc for the specific car model you've selected, the "Special Offer" pricing isn't applied. If you use this, you'll need to manually remove then re-add one of the items for the Shopping Cart to show the offer.

        • @mrdevil:

i can't get the 2nd pair for free. it only becomes free if i choose a different pair of brakes :/

also, even with the 20% off the ryco air filter, it's still cheaper to get all items from sparesbox, even if you stacked it with the 15% woolies deal atm.

i bought rotors with the stacking

    • Minutes

    • Can be a few days also.

      • ordered 3:15PM, received egift pdf 5:35PM

  • Where do you enter the code?

I'm at checkout with $111 in my cart and at the payment screen (CC, Paypal, gift card, credit) but I can't see anywhere to enter the code!

    • +4

Its in Review Cart Stage 1.
Hit on the Add Coupon Code button under the subtotal

Just ordered 4x Red Bull T Shirts with a RRP total of $250 + $5 Supercheap membership for about $60 delivered!

    That's paying on:
    - left over 15% off Woolworths group cards from 2015
    - 15% off SC gift cards in store Woolworths
    - $25 off final purchase of $115 online SC
This makes up paying $150 for 1x F1 RB polo top at the Singapore GP last year!!!!!

    Cheers and thanks OP

    • +4

Would be perfect if you can get 4 pairs of Redbull budgies for the next Ricardo's win.

  • Bought something yesterday from the online store. Any way of still getting this discount?
Ie. Cancel previous order and then order again? Or will they give me the discount automatically based on the SCA member price difference thing?
    Cheers

  • +1

Cool to hear that all you savvy OzBargainers are making use of this and stacking all the discounts.

  • Has anyone been successful in purchasing a Gift Card online at Supercheap Auto and using the "BATHURST25" code and paying using a Gift Card originally bought from the Woolworths deal ?

    • nope, just tried to buy a SCA gift card using my $100 SCA gift card and it said that coupon code BATHURST25 is invalid.

I also tried without using the BATHURST25 coupon and it still wouldn't let me purchase the SCA gift card

      • And no pick up option for gc

  • The code is still working if you add item but for delivery only - for buying gc. That will negate the savings

  • +1

Shit website, very slow, only one gift card is allowed to redeem. unable to check out, keep getting the same error message below

Please enter your delivery method information in order to proceed with checkout.

    Unfortunately an error has occurred.
Please refresh and try again, or contact us if the problem persists.

  • Sorry, that coupon code is invalid
