  • Was looking for a deal on the wahl designer, but there's only a combo kit. Am wondering how the quality is on the styler clipper? It's 55% off RRP down to $44.95.

    • Same here. I was told their clippers made in USA is the proper ones

    • Personally I think that is a better deal that the OP, I am not much for cordless especially for things like this which you aren't really going to be walking down the street with, not worrying about batteries is one less thing. Also the extra trimmer is a gimmick IMO, as if you can't trim with your clipper anyway.

I picked a similar one up from the good guys which I think was 69 but I had a 25 buck voucher code, so ended up being around 44. First use was great

      • Ordered this one with my $25 voucher, also got it ofr $69: https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/wahl-mens-haircutting-kit-wa9…

It is great! Made in USA and comes with plenty of combs. The picture on the website is not accurate as mine is a different colour and does not have the DVD. Came in a nice case, and it was the "bonus" version which includes a can of lubricant and a few other extras.

First result I was very happy. Not hard to cut your own hair and get a respectable result at all, doesn't have to be a buzz cut either.

        • Yeah not sure what is going on at the GGs but mine was also a different model, same model main unit but I didn't get any bonus anything that didn't come in the box, and yes now that you mention it no dvd (although who cares)

    • I've had these for years, keep them well oiled and clean and they are flawless

  • I have this exact combo also purchased from the $75 Myer deal and I've got to admit they're awesome!

I took the blades off my other WAHL ($169 pair..) and couldn't realign them … which is near impossible by the way … never do it!!! So I opted for these instead and haven't looked back since.

    • How long does one charge last? Enough for two hair cut?

      • I've cut my hair around 8 times off the initial charge.. my hair is pretty thick too and still haven't recharged it.

I think that's the main reason I'm impressed with them.

    • Shouldn't be that hard to realign, it's in the manual how to do so?

      • It sure is in the manual, it's still hard af.

  • I bought the wahl styler for 45 from shaver shop today.
It has the power drive (or whatever it is called) motor and is made in usa.

Buying the cordless sounds like a good idea but the motor will be weaker as it isn't connected to the mains and it will eventually fail when the battery gives up the ghost.

    Peronaldo preference though :)

  • +1

    This isn't made in USA

And it has been this price since August

    A bit expensive though.
