Ippudo Ramen Central Park - SHIROMARU and AKAMARU for $10 Mon Oct 10 to Fri Oct 14th [SYDNEY]

220

From their facebook page:

Broadway residents rejoice! IPPUDO Central Park will be celebrating their 2nd year anniversary next week by offering our signature ramen SHIROMARU and AKAMARU for $10 all day Oct 10th (Mon) to Oct 14th (Fri)!

Every time one of these deals for Ippudo is posted, it always sparks discussion about how good/bad their ramen is. I'll still say that I'm happy to have $10 ippudo ramen. Not a connoisseur, but I've had ramen in Japan, been to Manpuku Chatswood, Ippudo Macquarie Centre, Ramen Zundo, Ramen Ikkyu and I find that Ippudo ain't bad though pricey without discount.

Menu for Central Park - Shiromaru is normally $15. Akamaru is $16.

$10 is about the right price for their ramen.
$20 - $25 per bowl is overpriced especially we have so many good and reasonable priced ramen out there on Sydney streets.

From memory, their normal price is about $16 without extras.

      • 'extras' which would be included at other establishments for free, including Ippudo japan.

  • they have heaps of different versions of the shiromaru. is it all of them (including the $23 special!)?

    • Not sure but I suspect it's only for the basic version.

  • ippudo and yasaka ramen, same league? which one is better?

for $10 it is worth going there as we are in Syd.

go and eat in japan if you go with cheap jetstar.
most ramen you can get around 700yen in Japan and they are usually very good. not only ippudo but other ramens too.

how many AUD is 700 yen?

      • currently A$1 = 78.8yen so 700 yen is about $9
used to be A$1 = 100yen… all good days gone. but ramens are amazing in japan. you can try every day at differnet ramen places.
quality of noodle and soup bases is something you can call it authentic and genuine.

  • Anybody tried the burnt ramen from Ramen Gogyo on Japan? :P

  • Has anyone been yet? Wondering what the lines will be like, especially during lunchtime…

Update: Still quiet at 12pm, but started to get busy around 12:30. Only a 5-10 minute wait and good ramen for the price!

      • Thanks for the info :)
