I bought a Mi Band 2 off someone on ebay a week ago. It was BNIB (shrink-wrapped) and I met up with the seller and paid cash. After a few hours of using it that day with the Mi Fit app, the display on the band turned off as I was cycling through the options and hasn't turned on since then. Everything else on the device works - just not the display that shows time/steps/heart rate. It still connects to my phone, tracks steps, calculates heart rate, etc. but one of the main reasons I upgraded was because of its informative display so I'm hoping it can be fixed.
I've tried resetting it by leaving it unpaired and untouched for 24+ hours and tried charging it to full battery but that hasn't worked. Haven't had a chance to drain the battery seeing as it lasts ages.
I've tried google and the forums, and the seller has been communicative helpfully searching the Chinese forums too but we haven't had any luck. It seems like a few people have experienced the same thing but they didn't post any follow-ups as to whether they managed to sort it out.
Has anyone experienced the same issue or have any ideas on what's wrong with it and how to fix it?
Thanks!
