Presentation projectors, which is what these really are, are kind of defunct these days. A wall mounted 50" TV will generally do a better job at a similar price. Only a really small, specific group would want something like either of these projectors.
But they're a good price if that's what you're after. So's the TV.

This thing is 2600 lumens which may mean for presentations it's plenty bright enough to not touch the lights/curtains. Good luck getting a 2m TV at that price :p
Like I said: a small, specific group.
I don't think the group of ozbargainers that need to make presentations with lots of ambient light where a 1.27m screen is way too small is that big.
XGA. no thanks. Pass.
it has a place in the market
at the price point it represents good valuebut NO WAY would I pay this for a 3LCD at the Sony Retail pricing
you can get a Acer or BenQ DLP refurbished that would blow it out of the water
http://shop.benq.com.au/w1070-refurbished.html for $729
for the average punter its a good unit
Be warned, only 1024x768 native resolution but this shouldn't worry most people
720p essentially
Not going to much good for anything apart from basic presentations / SD TV / Light Gaming if you don't mind about image quality
You can push HD content through it but it natively won't look any good
Good price though and the brightness is excellent
both have HDMI input and are based on 3xLCD technology which means no rainbows vs DLP
Acer H6510BD is excellent value if you can cough up the extra money atm, 18ms input lag, excellent image quality, DLP and 2x HDMI inputs
bright lamp and quality product.
Lamp replacement is also 265 dollars vs ~130 for the Acer which does help you out over the longer term as the lamp lasts 5000 hours (at least)
Not a bad deal though if you can live with 720p
