Hungry Jacks Shake and Win Word Usage

I got this $2 storm deal from the app.
It says $2 each, but at the counter when I asked for 2, the manager who served me said it was only valid for 1 storm (normal price is $2.95 at the moment) so I paid $4.95.

Whenever the app has a deal, it'll usually say $3 for X, or X free when bought with Y. However this instance said $2 each and I would expect to be able to buy at least 2 for $2 each.

Am I being delusional in thinking this way and that it's just an oversight during development or could it be some miscommunication to the manager/incorrect manager?

For anyone who says I'm grasping at straws over 95c: This is OzBargain where people obsess over 1% cashback and the question is about language use among other issues, not the money.

Contact hungry Jack's and complain. Good chance you will get something out of it. I on!y recommend this if you do feel ripped off, don't abuse it.

  • You are correct and the manager is wrong.

  • Dodgy wording, it's meant to be only one of the prizes per customer

  • I also had the exact same thing happen to me. end of the day, i just got one and moved on.

I've had this one before and had no problem getting three for $2 each.

It's not dodgy wording at all, Food. People putting this together would be very well aware of the language they used.

    • Our managers state one "prize" per shake and win

CONgratulations. Your managers are quite the "prize".
